Ari the agreeable on-site manager set out coffee, milk, butter, honey and fresh bread from nearby Stella's bakery every morning on the big table and invariably stayed to chat away in English. In fact it was Ari's hospitality, friendship and willingness to provide any small extras a guest might wish for that made our stay at Kalypso Studios much more than we expected.

Great location!! Literally a few steps from our doorstep to the sea! A tavern with deliciously prepared fresh fish and veggies from a garden in front of our room!! Great fava and vlita, fried squid, all cooked near perfection. Not for the fancy gourmet lovers, perfect for those that know the true taste of traditional food. Gavdos and Akrogiali definitely surpassed our expectations!
