Location Clean and comfortable

A very friendly host who made a personal contact with his guests. A large room and bathroom with all the comfort we needed. Our host reserved a table at the pub he recommended and he did so without our asking. Really very helpful.

Everything it was exactly what we wanted

The apartment was fully furnished with very comfortable and high end beds, sofas, bed linen, towels etc. The kitchen had a great variety of delph and all the accoutrements that will need. The heating is on a timer and came on throughout our stay.

An exceptional house with plenty of space for a large or multiple families. Everything pristine and at the highest standard. Fiona highly responsive and left some great treats for us to enjoy during our stay. The Christmas decorations were appreciated and made us feel at home. Beautiful and warm space too.

If William Shakespeare had spent a night at Cedar Lodge, he would have forgotten his tragedies and written only peaceful poetry. The atmosphere was calmer than a midsummer dream, the hospitality warmer than a royal welcome, and the rest so perfect that even the stars outside seemed jealous. Cedar Lodge is not merely a place to stay — it is poetry with walls.

Great communication from the host about how to get to the property and how to find the keys. The location was stunning. The property had been renovated delightfully.

This is a beautiful wee cabin over a pond just outside Portarlington. Gorgeous setting. Had everything we needed for a few days exploring County Laois. Great communication with the host, chocolates and wine on arrival. Perfectly appointed studio with adjoining bathroom / shower. Comfortable sofa bed, warm and cosy. Just a magical spot with birds outside the window in the morning.

We absolutely loved our stay here, very beautiful and cosy. The place was spotless, with fresh clean towels and bedding. Really loved what the hosts have done with the space. Very quiet area. We will definitely return again.
