A weekend spent pampered to the limit. We spent the last weekend in Seclude Karthika Nivas-Thrissur, a small 5 room boutique resort. We were lucky to be one of the few guests who have used the resort, in which renovation is still going on. A very well restored old “Nallu Kettu”, what stands out is the way it has been tastefully nursed back to glory. Spacious rooms, clean and neat bathrooms, wonderful food, easily accessible from the highway, the list goes on. Food here must be preordered. Chef Sashi has a wide array of options from authentic north Indian delicacies to south Indian spread, food was wonderful and big thank you to him. Property Manager Bimal was the key to the reason why we enjoyed our stay so much. He ensured that we were completely taken care off, pitching in with his thoughts on how to spend time and repeatedly checking with us if we were comfortable, huge shout out to him. Last but not least the housekeeping was impeccably handled by Mari, thankyou Mari.

The resort is set in a beautifully landscaped property walking distance from the nearby river. It has a tranquil and peaceful ambience which helps you disconnect from the busy world instantly. I booked Elite Villa in Thrissur for my daughter’s Madhuramveppu ceremony, primarily to capture beautiful photos and videos in a scenic outdoor setting—and it truly met our expectations. The villa is stunning and spacious (approximately 4500 sq. ft.), and very well maintained. It features four bedrooms and is equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The property is kept exceptionally clean, and the peaceful ambiance makes it ideal for a relaxing getaway with family and friends. One great aspect was the on-site staff who were always available to help whenever needed. Initially, there was some resistance from the property manager regarding putting up decorative lights for our function. However, we contacted the owner, Mr. Jose Kavalakkad, who was incredibly kind and accommodating. He allowed us to proceed with the decorations, saving us from last-minute changes or having to look for an alternative venue. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to food delivery (Swiggy) and Uber services. Moreover, people in Thrissur are generally very warm, kind, and helpful, which is added to the overall positive experience. One note of caution: the villa is primarily meant for peaceful family stays, and organizing large-scale events or functions may not be permitted unless explicitly approved by the owner. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Elite Villa for a relaxing family vacation or small, private gatherings in a serene and beautiful setting. Overall, I highly recommend Elite Villa and their apartments near Vasan Eye Hospital for anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in Thrissur.
