Accommodation in Kami-ide

Due to an error in Google Maps' vehicle information, we found out there were no cars available to return to the hotel. We faced a 3-hour walk from Asama Shrine to Shiraito Park, mostly uphill with barely any streetlights. Just when we were on the verge of breaking down and feeling helpless, the host kindly drove to pick us up and brought us back to the hotel. Without her help, we would’ve had to walk the entire way 😭😭😭. On top of that, the hotel’s environment is fantastic—stepping out the door, you’re greeted by a lovely garden, and just a few steps away is the stunning Shiraito Waterfall. It’s absolutely worth the long journey!

Beautiful home, perfect location to view Fuji San. Couldn't have expected anything better. Owner is very sweet and welcoming. They greeted us with some warm green tea and cookies, showed us all the nearby location on map and how to go about it. Rooms are huge and includes a nice balcony.

The free meal was wonderful and was just what we needed after a big day of travel and before an even bigger one the next day. Our later arrival was graciously accommodated for and the hosts were so lovely to chat to and went above and beyond to make sure our night (and the night of the other guests) was what we were looking for.

This place was absolutely wonderful and had an amazing traditional Japanese atmosphere. We really loved the authentic experience. For breakfast we were served delicious local tofu, which was a very special touch. The owner was incredibly kind, warm, and always smiling — she made us feel truly welcome. We would happily stay here again!

Hospitality and friendly staff, beautiful view on Mount Fuji.

Apart from the noise from the tatami room aircon unit everything else was perfect. I particularly liked the washing machine that one can choose temperature. The majority of washing machines here in Japan do not have that option.
