A nice little place close to the beach. It feels less like a hotel and more like a mom and pop run bed and breakfast. The staff were very nice and down to earth, professional yet not too distant. It helps to have a solid understanding of the Japanese language, but the staff can make themselves understood in English when needed.

It was just perfect. The staff were great, very helpful. The Onsen was amazing, indoor and outdoor. The pool was great with floaties for guests to use, and inflatable small swimming pools on the side of the pool for babies. The breakfast was awesome, and very nice views from the big windows. The hotel is less than a 10min drive from Sokodo beach. Great place.

The lodge was perfect for us. We spent 3 full days exploring the island. The lodge is close enough to town for access to restaurants and stores, but also far enough away to feel closer to the countryside. We explored the island one day by car and two days by ebike. The rooms are comfortable, with good AC after a long day of hiking/biking. Fully accessible kitchen if you're into cooking, clean bathrooms, and showers. Our host spoke English and Japanese. We chatted over sake on our final evening and met a few other visitors. Overall we had a wonderful experience!
