I just wrapped up a month-long journey through Japan, and my heart is still overflowing with joy and cherished memories. Among all the places we stayed, Hotel 郷 (Hotel Go) in Uda, Nara, stood out as the most gentle and touching stop of our trip. I’m not someone who usually writes reviews, but this experience was so special that I wanted to make it my very first. The hotel is perfectly located—just a short drive from Murou-ji Temple and the stunning forest garden designed by an Israeli architect. The entire place is built in an elegant, traditional Japanese style that instantly captures your heart. Nestled in nature, the inn offers serene nights filled with the sound of flowing water and insects, and tranquil mornings where soft sunlight filters through the trees. The rooms are spotless and cozy, with every detail thoughtfully designed and tastefully executed. What truly sets this place apart are its hosts. Warm, welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about the area, they treated us with genuine care and attention, making us feel completely at home. Every recommendation they gave us—especially the restaurants—was based on personal experience, and each meal turned out to be a delightful surprise. The most unexpected gift we received during our stay was a beautiful friendship with the hosts. Even after we left, the hosts continued to offer heartfelt help and support when we needed it most. I sincerely hope to return to Hotel Go one day—to this peaceful little haven.
