Accommodations in Uruma

I loved the views on the island!

We had the most wonderful stay at Coco Garden Resort earlier this month (March 2026). We stayed two nights while visiting friends in the Uruma area. The resort is in a garden-like setting on a hilltop overlooking city and water views. Rooms are arranged around the garden and pool and a central building which has the reception desk and a restaurant etc. I believe they provide free parking though we did not need. Our room was very large, perfectly clean with everything we could possibly need. It was very private, quiet and restful. There is not a single thing to complain about, other than maybe the TV channels were all in Japanese and we don't know Japanese? Most important signs were in English as well, so no problem at all. We tried the on-site restaurant for breakfast only (included) and it was of a high standard. The best part were the staff. The very helpful gentleman who checked us in (sorry did not note his name) and the gracious Touyama who guided us from there, explaining about the resort, taking us to the room in a golf cart, carrying our luggage, and so much more! She was the perfect host, and a fond memory of our stay in Okinawa.

Our 3-night stay was great, starting with the incredible host family’s hospitality. All three of them went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs making our breakfasts a pure delight. The location is very beautiful with the sandy beach just a few steps away. We were there during a quieter time of the year so it was very calm and peaceful at that time. The spacious room was clean and comfortable, the bedding and the shower were very good as well. Very pleasant stay to say the least.

The room was very clean and spacious. It is off the beaten path, very quiet. There is a fantastic small grocery store nearby that also sells fresh prepared meals. The location is convenient to go anywhere on the island and a short drive away from the shops and restaurants in Uruma. Last but not least the owner was very kind and considerate.

The rooms are very big and spacious, my kids enjoyed the play area and I enjoyed the outdoor tub and sauna!

The only place that needs a slight improvement (for westerners) is the bathroom module is a bit small. The design of the toilet needs to be a little bigger. Everything else is fantastic and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Owners very friendly, helpful. Great location, great dining close by, also two malls nearby. Very friendly people in Uruma Okinawa.

The value was excellent. The hotel mural is gorgeous and the rooms were spacious. They provided amenities such as slippers, towels, toothbrushes, microwave, etc. The views were great as they overlooked the town below. The hotel was nicely situated as well.

The owner is a very cool man, super generous and kind. The place offers a fully equipped shared kitchen that allows you to cook anything you want. I’m not a big fan of sharing bathrooms, but they were so clean are good that didn’t affect me at all. Internet works very well!

There were many facilities that I needed, which was convenient!! And also the room was cleaned properly.

Liked everything. Very clean and beautiful

Very nice stay. Hosts were very responsive. Had a small issue and they resolved it very quickly. House was clean and the front yard was nice. Good location, 7-11 and Lawson within walking distance. Short drive to the Okinawa-Kita Interchange.

The apartment was large - 3 bedrooms, 2 showers, 1 tub, 2 toilets. Very clean and homey. Full size refrigerator. Washer and dryer.

The location of this place is amazing. Feels like a home away from home! I can see myself staying here again whenever I need a place to stay in Okinawa.
