The location, the access road was such an adrenaline pump in a good way, the tranquility, secluded, the sound of the river at night, the food. I loved everything. I was supposed to check in at 18H00 but due to challenges with transport I arrived at 04H30am. The owner went out of his way to accommodate my situation and even arranged a Tuk Tuk.

Calm Stay is a beautiful brand new apartment and our host Kavi and his wife were amazing. The downstairs area is huge and you have a large sitting area. They provided us with tea and cake every day and we loved our time with them in Badulla. The apartment was immaculately clean and we were able to use their fridge for cold drinks. The location is by the river but only a ten minutes walk into town. We caught the train from Ella and the scenic route was beautiful. Whilst here we visited the Dunhinda waterfalls by bus and would definitely recommend going. Admission is 600 rupees per person and it takes about 45 minutes to walk to.

With the opening of "Nilgira Villa - By Lilys" in Badulla, I had the opportunity to spend a night there with my family. It was an extremely beautiful place surrounded by the coolness of "Dunhinda Falls," trees with green leaves, and mountain slopes. I highlight as a special feature that, being located near the Badulla railway station, it is easily accessible even for those arriving by train. A very friendly and efficient staff, delicious food and drinks, and modern, comfortable rooms provided us with great satisfaction. With spacious facilities and secure parking, I recommend this place for spending your vacation freely and enjoyably.

This place went above and beyond. The host Jeffrey and his wife have extensive experience in the business, the food we had here was excellent - while still very srilankan, it was different to all the other places, exceptionally tasty. We mentioned that we’d like to visit a vanilla plantation close to Kandy, and were promptly provided with a contact for a private tour of a non-published place. The room was very clean and comfy. We’d love to stay here again!
