I loved the place and the view is simply spectacular. Just as in the pictures but better. Breakfast is good, tea is strong and all tastes better when you step out of the room and Ella rock is just in front of you. I loved also when one morning a group of monkey welcomed me when I left the room. Owners are great as well. They even drove me to the nearest bus stop from where I could grab a bus and continue my trip:) highly recommended place!

i don’t think there is another hotel that can give you the same view than this one. The room was right up the nine arches bridge, which you can reach in just 15 minutes from he structure. The room was clean and everything is new ( they built it 6 months ago). We suggest you to have breakfast there, since you’ll experience a real Sri Lankan breakfast with an amazing view. The host and her husband were very helpful and kind, they’ve helped us a lot considering that the street to reach the structure is not accessible by car so they picked us up ( and our heavy luggages) with their tuk tuk

A wonderful place — the view from the room will stay with us for a long time. The staff are extremely helpful and always ready to assist with whatever you need. Access to the property is only possible by tuk-tuk, and the road can be a bit intimidating the first time, but the driver is very experienced. With each ride you get used to it — and it’s absolutely worth it, as the location is truly picturesque. In previous reviews I saw comments about a lack of hot water — there is hot water, you just need to reduce the water pressure. Thank you for a beautiful time

This place was truly amazing. Amazing room with the best view over the trail racks and u get to see the train coming, beautiful room with a nice and comfy bed, air condition, and great bathroom with hot water. They have a lovely and tasty breakfast as well The staff there was so kind and amazing, and they even drove me to Yala with a stop on the way in Udawalawe safari park so I could see the baby elefants Would definitely stay here again

The rooms are ginormous, so spacious, modern, the view is indescribable, the breakfast is some of the best food we've had in Sri Lanka. The staff are so kind and helpful and will make sure you have an amazing time. I cannot believe the value for money of this place, can't recommend it enough. We stayed three nights in Pramitha's family room. The hoste was very respectful and friendly. We received a delicious breakfast every morning. The location is a bit higher in the mountains than other accommodations but definitely doable on foot (you can take shortcuts through steps), you are in the city center in 20min. Highly recommended!

Nice play to stay a little bit further away from the business of Ella. We stayed in the chalet. Next time we would choose for the newer accommodations, which looked stunning. Our room was certainly nice, but needs a little bit of love and attention. Private pool was amazing. Food delicious! We probably had our best curry from the whole trip!

Breakfast good, pot of very good tea (not cup only as in some other accommodations). Nice view from balcony on hills and bridge but me likes hills more than bridge 😉 friendly staff, take tuktuk was a matter of minutes. With stay my wife was very happy. Adapter for EU plug available in room.

Very nice and clean accommodation with a great terrace and view. The accommodation looks relatively new and very well made. The beds are very comfortable and there is even hot water in the shower if you wait a bit. Breakfast was very large, varied and delicious, the owners even cater to individual wishes and are very kind. One of the best accommodations we have stayed in Sri Lanka!

The views, the room, the balcony for breakfast. Our three night stay at Secret View was such a lovely experience and one of our best accommodations in Sri Lanka. We were able to explore Ella but also were more than happy to relax at the hotel when it was raining. Our host was so so helpful and was so kind to offer to pick us up and take us into town by tuktuk when we wanted. The location of the hotel is exceptional with views of mountainous landscapes and a gorgeous flowing waterfall. Thank you so much Secret View!
