Perfect! Everything was absolutely amazing. The view is fantastic, food was delicious, it was extremely clean, quiet at night, the staff was very helpful and very nice. It is a completely new room, build about a month ago so everything is new, nothing is broken, it also looks amazing. Room was big, had enough storage space, toilet and shower are separated which is another plus. The shower was modern and definitely the best and the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, same goes for the room and terrace. The hanging net is only yours to use, it is safe and again, like everything else, compeltely new. Towels, coffee, tea are provided. Breakfast costed 5€ and it included food and juice, highy recommend. Less than 10min walk to the Nine arches bridge and 5min tuktuk ride to Ella town, you can also walk over the bridge and then to Ella. There is not a single thing that could be done better.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The staff is a huge asset – incredibly helpful, always smiling, and eager to offer advice or assist in organizing the stay. The European-style breakfasts were an absolute delight – several menu options to choose from, all served in a restaurant with pleasant music and beautiful décor. The room we stayed in was wonderfully cozy, designed with great attention to detail – candles, additional lighting, vases, and other small touches created the perfect atmosphere for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The room was fully equipped with everything you might need – a safe, hairdryer, umbrellas, ironing board, and iron, plus a large TV with a Blu-ray player and a collection of films for guests to enjoy. This is definitely a place worth visiting – and even more worth coming back to!

Can highly recommend this place! Sri Lankan people are friendly, but this is next level. Super friendly host and his family. The view from our reading nook is terrific, better than the nine arches itself. It’s a spacious room, with a Beamer to watch TV during the rain, and very good bathroom. Part of their service is the outstanding breakfast, served one level below, looking out over the valley. It may be located a bit further from the city center, but they offered to drive us anywhere any time with the TukTuk for low rates, did our laundry, and arranged our taxi for tomorrow for a price we couldn’t arrange for ourselves. Long story short, I highly recommend this place!

This is the best place we have stayed at during our 3 weeks Sri Lanka Trip. Nadee (the host) is the kindest and warmest person. She cooked the most delicious food everyday for us, organized everything we needed, and even bought us a christmas present. Her son has a Tuktuk and drove us everywhere we wanted to go and gave us the best recommendations (Restaurants, best route for the Ella Rock hike & 9 Arches Bridge etc.). The location of the house is great and you‘ll have the best view from the terasse. We would definitely come back!

This is a perfect stay for me because it stays away from all the crowds and noise in the city center. Walking distance is 20 mins from the train station which I think is a decent walk. Beautiful scenery in the way. I only took tuktuk when I was with my luggage. The breakfast is amusing and you can also have dinner for a very reasonable price. The family is very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend to stay here if you come to Ella.

FAQ about accommodation in Ella

Very nice and clean accommodation with a great terrace and view. The accommodation looks relatively new and very well made. The beds are very comfortable and there is even hot water in the shower if you wait a bit. Breakfast was very large, varied and delicious, the owners even cater to individual wishes and are very kind. One of the best accommodations we have stayed in Sri Lanka!
