The host family was so nice, hospitable and helpful in making sure that we enjoy our stay in Kandy, Mr. Leslie proactively offered tuktuk from railway station for advantageous price and provided a lot of other really valuable advice. Breakfast as well as dinner were rich and tasty. There is a kitchen available for making tea or coffee, as well as drinking water. A lot of common room (dining room, terraces) where one can meet other travellers.

The rooms were very clean and spacious, the interior is tasteful and the bed is huge (I'm 2 meters tall). Staff was super helpful. Shower was hot, pool was nice and cool. Breakfast buffet was as good as you can expect.

Yasundara and her family were very helpful, they even made an appointment for me with a doctor when they learned that my ear hurt. The room was superclean, light and had a fresh rennovation. The breakfast was simple but filling. Another good thing is that Yasundara speaks good English which is not very common here. I would like to come back here and stay a bit longer.

I spent 3 days in this nice hotel with a great view to the city. Breakfast was included in the price and it was very tasty, you have 3 options to choose from, they serve dinner too and the prices are very good. The location is close to Kandy lake, the hotel is on the hill, but not difficult to climb it up. The staff were very helpful and hospitable, special thanks to Ashan. My room was spacious, clean and with a great view, so I was really happy for my choice. Ashan has tour packages too if you need a guide.

My stay at Eden Kandy Guest House was honestly unforgettable. The place is spotless and thoughtfully designed, with a beautiful garden, a shared kitchen, and cozy little spaces for reading or relaxing. Books are everywhere, free tea and coffee are always available, and the whole space feels warm and welcoming — more like staying in someone’s home than at a guesthouse. The real highlight, though, is Udaya. He’s one of those rare hosts who genuinely cares. From small details to big arrangements, he always made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Even after I left Kandy, he helped me organize a fantastic driver for my onward trip and kept in touch to make sure all was going smoothly — such a thoughtful gesture. The location is great too: peaceful and quiet, but still an easy walk into the city and close to all the main sights. I left feeling not just rested but uplifted by the kindness and positivity here. And considering everything that’s included, the value is incredible. If you’re heading to Kandy, I can’t recommend Eden Kandy enough — it’s the kind of place you’ll remember long after you’ve left.
