The room and bathroom was clean, the staff attentive, the breakfast complete and tasty, the views are also quite nice, and honestly the building is super beautiful and modern. They also had everything possible in the minibar and the views from the balcony in the room were amazing. And the beds were super good and comfortable. Honestly a wonderful hotel!

The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. Set amidst lush paddy fields surrounded by lush greens, the property is just 10-minute drive away from the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic. The hotel is impressive as soon as you walk in. The staff were quick to greet you and help you check in. The room (family), was spacious, quiet, very clean with all modern fittings and amenities. The breakfast was excellent - catered for a range of cuisines. Again, the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. I wish I could have stayed longer!

They provide us the best tuk tuk driver in Kandy. The hotel was great, very clean, the room was big, big double bed, pool terrific, nice terrace. The breakfast was really delicious. To be short, staying in Veraima was top.

Doesn’t feel like anything else we tried in Sri Lanka: very clean, very luxurious place and professional staff. Very good breakfast and spacious room. Even if the bathroom could be cleaner, the overall experience was very good!

We got welcome fruits and small sweet and hamburgers sandwiches in our room. We got a free tuktuk sightseeing tour and the breakfast was so delicious, the breakfast area is beautiful.

The most outstanding asset of this hotel is its stuffs and their service. Mr. Bathiya and other stuffs were really attentive and helpful. When I asked about the opening hours of the museum before my departure for Sri Lanka, he even took the labour of visiting the museum in person and found out it was open on Sundays. He said the museum did not answer his call. They also advised me to dine not at a fancy and touristy restaurant but at a good restaurant frequented by local people. I could enjoy delicious local food eating among the local people. Also, I accidentally left some medicines in the room when I checked out, and Mr. Bathiya have them delivered to my next accommodation without any charge. This is an incredible show of hospitality. The location is good also. The hotel is in a quiet residential area near the lake and it is only about 10 to 15 minutes to the town centre. The room and linens were of course very clean.

The units at the homestay come with a seating area. The units have a kettle and a private bathroom, while selected rooms will provide you with a terrace and some have pool views. At the homestay, each unit has bed linen and towels. This was a special stay for us. The staff went above and beyond for us and were constantly so warm, friendly, generous and lovely. We only wish we could’ve stayed longer and spent more time in the accommodation and with the staff. The facilities and space were extremely lovely, beautiful and very clean. Cannot recommend this place enough and we would 100% come back if we were ever in Kandy! Thank you for everything!
