This is truly charming place to stay, located in a peaceful and quiet area. The owner was very kind a helpful, recommending interesting places to visit and arranging me transfer to next destination. This hotel was our first stop upon arriving in Sri Lanka and the perfect start to our holiday. Due to a night flight, we arrived at the extremely early hour of 6:00 AM, but even then, the staff were already awake and incredibly attentive. They gave us a very warm welcome with a fresh fruit juice and went out of their way to get our room ready so we could check in well before the official check-inn-time. Overall, it is a beautiful location, everything feels brand new, comfortable, and charming. The rooms are very spacious. There is also a particularly pleasant terrace area on both the ground floor and the first floor where breakfast is served. The host, hostess, and the bellboy are all exceptionally friendly.

We stayed in the amazing presidential apartment, and it truly exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful and very spacious – we had everything we could possibly need. I even used the washing machine, which was a great bonus during our trip. The breakfasts were fantastic – so generous and delicious that we weren’t hungry again until the evening 😊. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. We highly recommend Raj Residence without hesitation. A wonderful stay in every way!

I attended Yummy Kandy Cooking Class, and it was absolutely fabulous. SriLankan curries have got to be some of the best in the world, so to get to learn how to make them in a traditional home kitchen was superb. http://yummykandycookingclass.com/ There is so much to see and do in and around Kandy, and tourist guides are willing to adapt to whatever your interest area is. There are aircon buses direct from Colombo, which makes for a cheap transit option If you want authentic experiences of beautiful SriLankan hospitality, food and culture, you may need to go outside the bustling centre to the outlying areas

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed one day at Urban Kandy City Hotel. It was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The room was clean, comfortable, and the service was excellent. A special thanks to Manager Silva. He is very friendly, helpful, and professional. In my opinion, he is one of the best hotel managers in Sri Lanka. Kandy has many things that are nice to see and do, and it is easy to find out about it. What people may ignore is the Ceylon Tea Museum, a bit outside of Kandy. I like to recommend a visit, very interesting and a very important part of Sri Lankan culture.

Our Kandy trip was a memorable experience.

Our Kandy trip was a memorable experience. We first visited the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where we enjoyed seeing elephants closely and watching their daily care activities. Next, we explored Saradiyal Gammanaya, which gave us a glimpse of traditional village life and history. After that, we visited the peaceful Ranawana Rajamaha Viharaya, followed by the sacred Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa), a deeply spiritual and important cultural site in Sri Lanka. In the morning, we ended our trip with a visit to Bahirawa Kanda, where we enjoyed a beautiful panoramic view of Kandy city.

We stopped in Kandy to the tooth temple and it was a great experience. What we hadn't anticipated is how narrow the streets are and how busy the traffic is especially at peak time. The footpaths were very narrow, busy and it difficult crossing the roads.

Had a short stay there.

Had a short stay there. Intention was to visit the temple of tooth and hapy that it is done fragrantly. Spent a few hours there for self reflection and attempts on finding self. Yes. Kandy city is superb. Clean almost all places, nice and polite people. Need to mention, my tuk tuk guy mr. Supun samarakoon was a great guy. Enjoyed the fast ride with him. He could get me to all possible locations at a short span. And his patience is greatly commentable.

The food is excellent. Theres many options, sri Lankan food and western food available and also a menu for kids. Pool is very nice and relaxing. Staff members are very polite and helpful and will stay up until late hours until you come back to the hotel. Hotel is very close to the town and main attractions in kandy. Bed was very comfortable. The room had all the modern amenities you would need. Lot of greenery surrounding the hotel.

Beauty hills was very aptly named - the best view in our time in Sri Lanka. Our host Sanjeewa was caring and accommodating, helping us book tuktuks when needed and offering breakfast too. He should be very proud of this home as it was an ideal stay in a busy town like Kandy, nice and quiet :) our room was comfortable and the bathroom was very well equipped.

Beautiful home stay with amazing views over Kandy. Jaye told me about the best place in town to get some traditional Sri Lankan cuisine which was amazing! Lovely room with a balcony, A/C and a good ensuite bathroom. Would definitely recommend! Lovely family who I will stay with again if I’m back in Kandy.

This was the best place we have stayed so far on our Sri Lanka trip. Vicki was very helpful and even drove us into town and told us how to avoid traffic when going to attractions. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It is walking distance to all the attractions in town but is quiet for sleeping.
