Hostels in Ella

Very good facilities and super lovely staff. They were very accomodating and made the experience even better for us. Arranged for us to have dinner and see the festival on a rooftop bar - absolutely incredible. Sajana and sadaru were so kind and told us about all of the amazing local places. The most kind hostel staff I have met and hung out with us like friends.

The land is radiating peace, the cottage was homely and the owners and workers absolutely delightful

Samir is really friendly and willing to help you. He mentioned a lot of nice things to do and was willing to arrange things for you. The bathroom is marvellous!! Beautiful decoration!

Wow wow wow!! The owner Kasun and the whole family were so kind and friendly. I left my earphones at the hostel and I only had about 10 minutes until my train arrived, not only did he drop me there at the station but also came back again to bring my earphones at a short notice. This stay was wonderful, peaceful and sociable. Breakfast was amazing and beds were comfy. Favourite hostel in Sri Lanka!!

The host is genuinely one of the if not the nicest and most helpful hosts we’ve had since staring travel 3 months ago. The beds are super comfy and have curtains. There’s also FREE clean drinking water which is a great touch. There’s a great view and is only a 7-8 minute walk to the town centre.

Great hostel, very social, and loved the cooking class/family dinner. The host was so accommodating with booking taxis, dinners, or activities for us.

Super nice hostel! Clean, social and the owner was so helpful!! He even organized getting my towel back, which I forgot in my last hostel in Arugam Bay. Another plus: Hot shower, toilet paper and soap in the bathroom. Best hostel I stayed in so far in Sri Lanka!!

I had a Great time at A lounge Hostel.everything is amazing super close to railway station,bus station,restaurant And everything soyou dont need any taxi and they are doing scooter rent,laundry service.they have a beautiful cozy cafe you can use that as a common area great wifi. there is a 4 shared bathrooms super clean. staff are very friendly they will help you anytime very happy to stay here 😍

I liked the environment and the location of the place. The room was also very convenient and the manager helped a lot.

Amazing hosts. Young guys just started running this hostel and they make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is amazing; they’re always available when you need anything. I stayed in the 6 dorm bedroom with a couple of other backpackers and it was really fun. Room is clean and the beds are quite comfortable. The included breakfast was incredible (one of the guys is a chef ;)) Your number one hostel in Ella!!!!

It was a very lovely stay here, Shiva the manager did everything he could to make sure I had a nice stay at his hostel. His level of hospitality is tremendous. The breakfast was very tasty and the dorm is comfortable!

I absolutely loved my stay here. It’s out of town but that’s what made it so special, it was so peaceful. It had a beautiful view out into the rice fields and mountains and the walk along the train tracks was beautiful. The building itself was so cute and included brekky and dinner! Plenty to do around.

The photos that are on the page of the location and views do not do the place justice at all! The real life location is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life. Wake up and have a coffee whilst looking at that was breath taking. It also felt as if we were staying in a real life studio ghibly house the way the building are built into the cliff is amazing.

Really comfortable bed and shower. Clean, great staff and for a cheap price. Breakfast is rotti, lentils, coffee and fruit juice.

Beautiful view, big rooftop terrace, new, comfortable and clean beds, big breakfast included and really nice staff!

The ambience and vibe was too good

We like the hospitality, the kindness of the hosts, they are very helpfull and very attentive to their customers. The place is awesome with a wonderful view. It is in the mountain, in the nature, you have a lot of walks possible, and you have tea trees everywhere. You can walk to reach some beautiful places around. It is a wonderful place you can see animals and hear the birds. The food is the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. Honestly it would be a mistake to not taste it. Thank you for everything it was much more than expected.
