Returning to this magical place we were greeted by Margaret and her adorable rescue dogs Victoria and Abdul. We felt immediately very welcome and at home. The dinner, local fresh fish with ginger, lemon and garlic, served in a banana leaf, was delicious. Sitting there at the table, surrounded by beautiful tropical plants, was so magical, that we always will remember it. Thank you, Margaret, that you created, together with your wonderful staff, this place, full of harmony and beauty.

Enjoy the wonderful breakfast almost on the beach, get overwhelmed by the sunset from the garden or balcony. This place is the best value for money I ever visited. The hospitality is fantastic, whether you need snorkeling equipment,a yoga mat, dinner or just some advices, the host is there to help you. I felt at home immediately😊accepting a little bit of noise from the main road, you’ll never regret to stay here. Buses running just in front of the house makes it easy to go everywhere. I spend 7 nights there, and hope to be back😎😎🙏🏼. Marianne

Everything exceeded our expectations, to be honest. The room was spacious and even it is in a central area, it is very quiet. It is also a short 5-10 min walk to the fort which is the main attraction in the city and just a couple minutes away from the bazaar. The breakfast was outstanding, one of the best we had in our trip in Sri Lanka. And so was the coffee! The staff were very nice and helpful, they went out of their way to help us with an issue we had completely unrelated to our stay there which was greatly appreciated.

What can I say - Galle Manor is a peaceful oasis in Galle. Modern facilities with an antique charm. The rooms are spacious and clean with character. Balcony area as well as a pool (sparkling) to relax. The staff - friendly, helpful with information regarding places to visit and organising a tuk tuk so you are not paying tourist prices. Location is a bit off the beaten path but you get the best of both worlds - hustle bustle of Unawatuna and Hikkadwa and then a tranquil retreat!

Golden gate was easy to find and walkable from Galle train station. It was exceptional clean and had everything you’d need. The staff were very welcoming and we felt safe. They had lots of food for breakfast and areas to relax in during the hot day. The house/villa containing the guest rooms was stunning.
