Fabulous rooms, facilities, setting and staff.

Wow a fabulous hotel in an exceptional location. We booked a suite which had 2 levels which could sleep 4 people. The roof top terrace overlooking the river was amazing and great for star gazing. The jacuzzi bath was huge with amazing views. The thermal baths were lovely and warm and a great place to relax and unwind after a day of travelling. It was so peaceful and tranquil we only wished we could have stayed longer

The staff was so rude and always complicated

A very welcoming host, who made us feel like one of the family. Located conveniently next to the beginning of the walk to Tumbas de Yuraq Qaqa (an interesting archaeological site). Room was clean and comfortable.

The room was very comfortable, spacious and cozy with a dining table and two chairs, private bathroom with shower. The room was quite cold, but there were warm blankets. The only serious disadvantage is the lack of mosquito nets and despite of the cold weather there are plenty of mosquitos. Breakfast is scrambled eggs with tea, jam, mango juice and coffee americano. There is free parking available and tea and coffee at reception as a compliment to hotel guests.

Beautiful big room, felt very clean. Warm shower was nice after our trek in the canyon. Was close to the plaza, but far enough Away that it was peaceful. Breakfast was good.

Amazing huge rooms, super comfortable beds, well above its 3 star rating! The hotel is in a perfect location and the host is incredible warm welcoming and gave us a hug and a lovely llama keyring on our departure! Also did a great early breakfast for us before Colca Canyon! Our Spanish was limited but this did not stop the host giving us the most warm experience and trying her absolute best to communicate with us. Don’t need to stay anywhere else in Chivay.

Big rooms, and kitchen with everything you need- as described. Located close to the Plaza de Armas and main streets of town. We enjoyed a lovely walk to the bridge, ruins and mirradors and took advantage of the fresh local produce to cook our own food. We’re travelling on a budget so this place was perfect. Alely was an incredible host! Super friendly, very responsive on WhatsApp (this is how pretty much everything seems to be done in Peru- even booking activities and buses). Alely stored our bags for the 3 days while we did the Cañon del Colca walk (we stayed here at the start and end of our trip due to catching the 4M bus directly to Cusco so we didn’t have to go back via Arequipa). When we came back our bags were ready and waiting for us. I would have loved to spend an extra night here to acclimatise as it is a lot higher than Arequipa and you will feel it. Overall we had a great time and felt very comfortable and at home.

A really lovely apartment in Chivay. Walking distance to the bus terminal and also to the central square. It's such a lovely little town and staying in this apartment was great - we bought ingredients from the market and cooked it up. A wonderful stay. Also echo what others are saying re: hardness of the beds but they are not unsleepable!

The hosts were beyond great, very implicated into making our stay perfect. They kept our luggage for a full day and even organized a last minute tour for us. Muchas gracias a Robert y su esposa🙏 The location of the hostel was perfect, in between plaza de armas and the bus terminal where all the tours but also local bus starts.

The best place we've been in Peru. Nice lady who shows you the house. You get a whole house with a garden. Two twinbeds, a Kitchen, couch. And very clean and nice bathroom. Also near the centre of Chivay.
