Accommodation in Orsa

All was wonderful—a little castle in a stylish Swedish wooden building. I would move in for half a year.

Historic luxury hotel right in town centre. Huge well-appointed rooms, plenty of parking. Decent breakfast.

The room was basic though clean, the mattress seemed soft but I got a very good night's sleep. As I was the only guest at that time and I had my own food with me, I agreed with the owner to make breakfast on my own. The bathrooms and showers were clean and fine, though some extra hooks would help. The owner/staff was very nice, and the place has a quiet and calm atmosphere.

We had already stayed in this hotel 5 years ago and we had a great time returning. Spacious, comfortable and perfectly clean room. In the evening we enjoyed one of the best dinners of our life. Breathtaking location overlooking the lake. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable bed, god kitchen with what you need, well cleaned place to stay with two cars despite all the snow.

Situation, viewpoint and kindness of people in charge

It is nice location near the river between the woods. Nobody is disturbing, though big road is near and nearest town is easy to reach. Fireplace helps a lot to have cozy winter evenings. Sauna is tiny but in the house so it is a good extra. All things you need for the household are there for you. River view from a kitchen table is also nice.

Great location, nice and cosy with spacious rooms. Very warm. More than enough room to spread out while still having several areas to socialise.

The location is spectacular; right next door to a forest. There is peace and quiet. We went in the middle of winter and we had a lovely winter wonderland feel to our stay. We were three and the house was plenty big enough for us. Instructions that were sent to us were very clear and there were no issues in getting inside. The beds were comfy and the heating inside the house is also modern, so we were all nice and warm. The sauna is a traditional wooden stove one, so took time to heat up but it served us very well.

Kitchen was equipped well, very homely and welcoming. Lovely outdoor garden furniture to enjoy outdoor eating. Very quiet area, lots of garden for children to play. Beds were extremely comfortable. Excellent base for exploring the area around lake Siljan, Orsa and Mora. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this accommodation.
