Loved our stay here. We stayed here for 4 nights. The room was very spacious. It wasn’t too warm in the room with it being amongst the trees. It was nice to have a balcony to dry some wet clothes on. They provided complimentary water bottles each day and the option to fill your own water bottle in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and were able to answer all the questions we had. Because Tonsai is not connected to the government electrical grid, this area is powered by generators. So there is not power here between 10 am and 5 pm. Not really an issue if you plan things accordingly. The water pressure is also low in the mornings.

Maybe the best location in the Railay Peninsula, definitely the best in Tonsai Bay. The premises are well kept and nicely gardened, the staff are exceeding in friendliness and service. They communicate well and organize transport, the hotel restaurant has the best beachfront setting and the food, while marginally more expensive than the options hidden further back, is well presented and good after a day of climbing. Breakfast buffet is very good value, especially if you are a climber. The room at the main resort is excellent value. Contrary to reports, we had electricity all day almost every day in two separate one week stays in November. Amazing for a cooling afternoon nap when the conditions are too hot to climb anymore. We were warned that electricity would be down between 3-5pm, but I only noticed this 3 times in 14 days, so I think Tonsai Bay is running its own electricity generation. We received drinking water every day, the beds were made and room cleaned daily, and fresh towels were always available. Scented liquid soap and shampoo is provided. The room itself is simple, discrete and clean. The double mattress is firm and seemed quite new, and the sheets were smooth high grade cotton. The bathroom has an electric shower for hot water, a nice looking sink, new toilet and its own ventilation. I’ve stayed all over Railay and for the price, this set up is great value and very comfortable. Lastly, if you are a climber, at the doorstep of the resort is the Rock Shop whose owner writes the Thailand guide for rock climbing. He currently has the most comprehensive gear rental on the peninsular, and definitely the best local knowledge on routes which he is happy to share. There is a shop adjacent where you can buy large 6L bottles of water and do laundry. The popular climber’s bar under the Tonsai Roof is a short walk around the corner and thankfully out of ear shot, so sleeping at Tonsai Bay Resort was always deep and quiet.

Really nice bungalows in Ao Nang - about a 10 minute walk from the city beaches and less than that from the "downtown". Good location in my opinion - you're close enough to everything but not in the loud and busy area exactly. I was not impressed with Ao Nang, though - it is CROWDED with loud English-yelling tourists and reminds me of some of the worst areas of Phuket, such as Patong. However, Pagi Pagi is a good option to stay here if you are planning to go on day trips and visit some beaches outside of the city center - for that purpose, I would stay here again. Bungalow was spacious, well air-conditioned, WiFi worked well, staff was helpful, so everything fulfilled my expectations.

After 3 weeks of discovering a noisy and crowded Thailand, for me this was like an oasis. So quiet, surrounded by nature, amazing pool, location away from the crowds but still at walking distance from the beach (bonus you also have free shuttle to the beach). Our cottage was so pretty, with a spacious bathroom, very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t eat at the restaurant so I can’t comment on the quality of the food.

The property was overall a pleasant place to stay in. The family room was spacious enough for the 4 of us. Hotel was quiet and everyone staying there respected the privacy of one another. I am also very glad there were no crying babies when we were there. Food/breakfast at the hotel was great too. Thankful we had staff like Jap and Pop to answer all our enquiries while we were there.

Best chill vibes in town. Staff is great, bar is good, atmosphere is amazing. Rooms are quite big. Worth staying. You'll meet some good people there

What to say, the place is much more perfect We expected. Simple-vacation of dreams. Nothing is like that. Now We stay in another place and We are crying We couldn't be there longer time.....they are too busy. Our many thanks to all guys in there.

Lovely place to stay. The staff was so nice and helpful all the way from the reservations up until departure. The operations manager is a very polite person and came to greet us at breakfast to see if we had a good night. He even granted us an upgrade when he did not have to. The views are great, the accommodation was great and we had lovely food at the facility restaurant.

The rooms and facilities are kept very clean - the staff were cleaning the hall, washrooms, and shower room twice daily. Accommodations are very basic, but for a private room and on a traveler's budget it is everything that you need.

Staff were friendly and it was a good social setting, but didn't get too loud at night even though the hostel was pretty social. Reasonable accommodations for the price and a great place to meet other climbers in Tonsai.
