The hotel is very well managed. Customer care is very well applied here. Everything is carefully done. The room is big, it has everything you need: refrigerator, iron, kettle, AC, big table, 2 comfortable chairs, a nice balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Wi-fi was good. The bathroom has enough space too and it looks modern. A lot of small stores around the hotel and close to the beach, around 100 m. The area has good roads, so it is full of cars and motorcycles.

I genuinely loved the dorms. They were incredibly spacious and offered so much room for every single person. You have your own locker, a double bed and far more privacy than you would ever expect in an eight-bed dorm. It honestly does not feel like staying in a dorm at all. The pool area was beautiful, the water was always clean and the welcome drink and constant water refills were such a nice touch. There are animals around, the beach is very close and there are evening activities, which made the whole stay even more enjoyable. The host was extremely friendly, attentive and genuinely kind. The breakfast was also very delicious. I have stayed in many hostels around the world and I can confidently say this is by far one of the best I have ever slept in. I stayed for only three nights because I had already booked another place, but I would have loved to extend. Almost everyone I met actually extended their stay, which says a lot about how satisfied people are with this property. Will go again soon!

The perfect stay at Nungwi. I cannot explain how much i enjoyed my stay at kai zanzibar. The staff are extremely nice, they will insist to help you in every step, they wouldn’t even allow us to carry our small bags ourselves, they do. The owner is extremely nice he offered us a nice party with some friendly locals inside the hotel. The rooms and equipments are in perfect condition. I would not think twice if i come back to nungwi again. This is the most perfect place to stay at

I liked everything!!! The warm welcome from Ahmet and all the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the good breakfast that changes everyday 😋 the good seafood platter that I really enjoyed at lunch times (please try) and also the location (nice sea view from the rooms) The owner Ahmet did everything to make our stay very pleasant by providing us with the necessary information to enjoy Nungwi to the fullest. We accidentally came across the African bungalows and can surely say it’s one of the nicest hotels we stayed in. The hotel is new and is lovely. So much attention to detail and has this lovely African vibe. From simple things like WiFi connection, which is hard to find in Zanzibar, to air conditioning. The rooms are spotless and service is offered every day. The hotel has a pool, which gives you a break from the busy beach and being constantly approached by people selling tours. The hotel facilities are amazing and so is the stuff working here. We felt so welcome, very safe and looked after.

We had an amazing stay. From the pool to the food, everything was amazing. There is a small restaurant on site which serves delicious food at a fair price. The owner and her team went above and beyond with passion and a smile. We visited multiple places across Zanzibar and this was our favorite spot.
