After camping in the bush for 3 nights, it was a treat to relax in such a clean and quiet setting. The restaurant on the water was so charming and the food was clearly prepared with love and intention. What truly made our stay special was the staff. We really got to know them, which really enhances the experience. They quickly learned our names, were incredibly accommodating, and always happy to engage—whether answering questions or simply chatting. The owner of the property was frequently on site, a clear sign of the dedication that goes into running this property.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would. It was truly one of the nicest hotel experiences I have ever had and it is mostly thanks to the incredible host Chimney. He is a remarkable person and host. He helped us so much when we had a car break down and drove us across Savuti to Khwai (which is an incredible distance). I highly recommend staying here and booking meals and activities with Chimney. His game drives were fantastic and he has a great chef who makes wonderful food. The lodge itself is very simple and comfortable with a very reasonable price but the extras are what makes the place extraordinary. Chimney is also a community leader and many things that he is doing is to help his entire village. It is clear the lodge is a labor of love for him and he built it on the site of his grandmother's house.

We had a wonderful time for our 2 nights in Tent no 1 at Muchenje. From the moment I start to communicate with Hayden... He was so very helpful! Our check in and the staff were very friendly.. The little convenient store was very well stocked !!! More than I expected with good meat and Chicken and fresh Veggies!! And a lot more! The Birdwalk with Stone is not to be missed... He is a wonderful guide.. we saw 50 spesies an 6 lifers!!! Amazing .... The foodplanes were flooded , so we had amazing views and beautiful Sunsets. Thank You Muchenje Campsite.... Lovely location overlooking its own waterholes and a steady movement of game animals in/out which made for remarkable sights. Excellent game drives with very knowledgeable drivers. All round a great experience!
