Beautifully designed, new bungalows in the middle of a tranquil oasis of a garden with delightful pool. Also with private outdoor shower! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Some other travellers mentioned it was far from the center but it wasn’t an issue for me, I walked every day and it was about 35 minutes along the beach. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel in the middle of nature and have a great night’s sleep while being close to Puerto Viejo.

The hotel was beautiful - breakfast was amazing with really attentive staff. It was all spotless both in the rooms and communal areas.

Such a sweet spot! ❤️ In the middle of the jungle, woke to the howler monkeys and watched them in the trees while drinking my coffee. Breakfast was delicious and the vibe at the hostel is just so nice. Reminded me of going to hostels ten years ago when it felt like a little community. The owner is a very sweet person so friendly and helpful.

We liked all of it, breakfast, staff and location. Sebastian was a very nice person and explained everything with details, I highly recommend staying at KAÑIK Hotel.

The place was absolutely lovely, and the host was so kind and caring! Breakfast every morning was delicious, and Alberto assisted us with great recommendations and things to do/see.
