A retreat of peace and quiet within the Elephantine Island, gateway to the nubia. Excellent breakfast, beautiful view from the terrace and the most peaceful surrounding. They helped me book my tours, transfer to the hotel and also to luxor (visiting temples), I booked most with them and it was a great smooth experience, fair rates as well. The bedroom is quite comfortable and the toilet is good even though it is below the stairs.

Jimmy was very accommodating and just a lovely, friendly guy to speak to. The room was spacious and comfy. The shared bathroom was directly opposite the private room so was almost like having your own bathroom. Good central location to Aswan (2 minute walk from train station) and great value for money. Jimmy helped with some information about different ways of getting to Abu Simbel. Would happily stay again!

The employe was a gem, very helpful, comprehensive, very fast to answer sms. The place is near everything, very clean with a place to enjoy and chill, the room are confortable and clean, locker are available for small luggage. Its not expensive.

Very nice brand new hotel in a peaceful location next to the Nile. The owner picks you up by privat boat from the riverbank and drives you to the hotel at Elefantine Island. There is no road leading to the hotel, only narrow walking paths trough a maze of small buildings where the locals live. Very genuine atmosphere. A perfect place to recharge yourself after being in busy places like Cairo or Luxor.

Very wonderful experience, friendly hospitality, beautiful view, new and cozy room, yummy breakfast. I'm so happy that I choose to stay this little paradise. They've done too much for me, prepared breakfast box and took me with boat at 4am so I can go to tour. Also arrange private boat for me to visit many places with little charge, optional dinner is so delicious too. Must stay here, everyone is nice to me, they probably are the best people you will see in Egypt.

We had a perfect 1 night stay at Wawat. Assem (the owner) welcomed us with open arms and he arranged everything for us, from getting tickets to the lightshow to falafel for breakfast. He was helped by his nephew who drove us around last night. They are a great team together! Assem speaks English perfectly btw, communication with him has always been great, from when we made the booking until we left. The guest house is brand new and you can tell: it's squeaky clean, the beds and bedding are in perfect state and the much needed aircon cooled us down within minutes. There's also a communal area with couches and a table with chairs. This makes it feel very homey. Definitely the best guest house we stayed at during our Egypt trip so far. I highly recommend staying here, not only for the help you'll receive but also for the very comfortable rooms and the Nubian hospitality and warmth. Thank you so much, Assem and family 🫶

Abdu and the other staff have been very hospitable and made us feel welcomed all the time. They satisfied every request of ours. Position was also good, calm and relaxing environment outside the city. We relied on them with all the excursions (tomb of the nobels, feluca and Abu Simbel).

The place is really new, all is painted in white, very clean, new furniture, great bed and very comfortable mattress, bed linen all white and fresh, also the towels. The room is totally worth the price, is even better than you except, it fulfills the european standars ( like german clean hotel). The bathroom is spacious. The rooms are also very quiet, a thing that is hard to find in Egypt. The wifi works perfectly, each room has a smart tv, you can use your Netflix account in case all the programs ( also many with american movies in english) are not enough. They have a terrace above with a beautiful view over the river where they serve breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is very nice, it is traditional, but also they can make the eggs the way you like. The guest house is brand new, is a family business owned by JJ and Mona, who are amazing people, they take care of everything you need and are very warm, kind and welcoming people. They speak also good english so is very easy to get all the information you need. They offer services also for trips, to go visit the nubian village, the botanical garden or take a felucca ride for sunset at very good price. They are honest people. I talked to them a lot and are very open. I have been to many places and I can make a difference between a host who really cares about the wellbeing of the customers and the one who just does it for the business, definitely JJ and Mona are genuine carrying people. We loved them.

The owner Hafez was very friendly and took care of our needs. Its a new and very cozy property. Everything inside the room is handmade and aesthetically pleasing. I would definitely return back to this property.
