Breakfast is homemade bread, with egg and fig jam. If you eat at the guest house you get falafel as well and fresh mango juice. I don’t eat egg, so they obliged me with extra falafel. Another morning they got us breakfast ready to go

The accommodation is located on the quiet site of Elephantine island with a beautiful view from the terrace and most rooms. The rooms are comfortable, great mattresses, great water pressure in the shower, everything seems new and is very clean. Marwan is a wonderful host and made an amazing breakfast. We would stay here again!

It was truly fantastic. Our best experience in Egypt by far! The Nubian hospitality we felt at Rayan Guest House was incredible. They fulfilled all our request, in a very genuine and helpful way. I would recommend to anyone to come and stay in this guest house , is very comfortable, clean and you feel at home. The guesthouse has a private and free boat to cross from and to Elephantine island. Also to mention the breakfast was so good to start a great day and the dinner is amazing, cooked by the mother of one of the managers of the guesthouse. You can feel the love as the main ingredient in each bite. Thank you very much to our dear Mohamed, Karem, Ala and Ibrahim. Our stay at Wawat Hotel was an excellent experience from start to finish. The gentleman who welcomed and hosted us was incredibly helpful and made everything feel very easy and smooth. Communication was simple—he contacted us immediately via WhatsApp and was already waiting for us even before check-in, despite the accommodation being easy to find. He assisted us with everything we needed, including arranging transport to Abu Simbel directly through the hotel, which was very convenient. The breakfast he prepared was great, and we also appreciated that free bottled water was always available in the fridge. He genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable, while still giving us full privacy and space without being intrusive at all. The rooms were perfectly fine, and the modern shower was a very pleasant surprise after traveling around Egypt. Overall, we highly recommend Wawat Hotel for anyone visiting the area around Aswan. It was a warm, easy, and very comfortable stay thanks to the amazing hospitality.

Highlight of our Egypt trip! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Safe haven, lots of activitys provided and so easy to book. Very authentic, off the beaten path. Kayaking tour was great. Visiting a fisher on his island and experience a real Nubian lunch. The Nubian village just a 2 minute boat ride away. The whole staff felt like family. It felt like a second home. A must visit on your Egypt trip, 100% recommend staying here

It is a small guesthouse with a cozy feel and very thoughtfully put together, nice common breakfast and chill out space, hot water in the shower with good presure, full breakfast, I had a very good time chatting with other guests and Hafez the owner who is very welcoming. The house is right next to the river and the market in the village which is a lot of fun and lively, will defenetly come back !
