The staff was incredibly nice, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the area was beautiful. It was quiet even though the hotel was busy. The food (breakfast and dinner) was great. The hotel has great amenities for dogs. Great value overall!

Situated in Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, next to the banks of River Dart. Among the various facilities of this property are a terrace, garden and a bar. The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I loved the outside sitting area in front of our room. The breakfast was excellent, making us what we wanted even though it wasn't on the menu. Good location to visit other beautiful spots and plenty of local walks.

Location was perfect for us, on a nice quiet street with good parking, just steps away from the University campus. Owner friendly, flexible and fast to address all of our requests. The property is an old traditional house, preserving a lot of features. Room very spacious and decorated in line with the period of the house and well kitted with everything, including a mini-fridge and a mobile heater. Good internet! Very big bathroom, fitted with both shower and bathtub and with a generous selection of lotions and bath soaks. The breakfast had a good variety of food, a cold-buffet type, with a range of teas and coffees. All self-serving, just make-your-own.
