Offering a bar and garden view, Aberdunant Hall Holiday Park is located in Porthmadog, 10 km from Portmeirion and 23 km from Snowdon. Very interesting setting. Like US movie set somewhere in West Virginia. Spooky at night. Could not find late check in desk. Some reasonable signage would help. Also on departure could not find way out ;) kept running around the same crossings.

Basecamp Wales offers family-run hostel accommodation in Llanllyfni, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and 30.3 km from Pen-Y-Pass and 8.2 km to the beach at Dinas Dinlle. Good value for money. The rules were clearly explained.. .

Built by a visionary architect in 1925, Portmeirion Village & Castell Deudraeth overlooks the beautiful Dywryd Estaury. What an amazing property. We were greeted with an amazing staff who were not only accommodating but personable. Really liked Kenneth. He made us feel at home. Being a fan of the show the prisoner, it felt otherworldly to be in this setting. Highly, highly recommended. Our room was not ready, so we were moved up to a two bedroom suite that overlooked the courtyard which made our stay so much more enjoyable.

Situated within Snowdonia National Park, Aberdunant Hall is a 17th-century property set within 200-acres of woodland on an idyllic upmarket Holiday Home Park. The property was beautiful, spotlessly clean, wonderful facilities, comfortable! Couldn’t have asked for a better stay, perfect for a family get away.

El Tynycornel Hotel gaudeix d'una ubicació magnífica, envoltat per la bellesa natural impressionant i l'espectacular paisatge del parc nacional de Snowdonia. Everything, the food was amazing. The setting was incredible and all the staff were fantastic. Will definitely stay here again.

Located in Barmouth and with Barmouth Beach reachable within 300 metres, The Barmouth Bar & Grill provides a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Centrally located on the high street, close to all the facilities. Easy check-in through the ground floor restaurant - we ate here and good value and excellent food. We were on the upper floor, but the helpful staff carries the luggage, which was appreciated. Pleasant views from the window, to the south across the bay. Room was clean and the bed comfy. Despite being on the top floor there was good pressure in the shower. Overall, an excellent stay.

Situated in Pennal, 35 km from Aberystwyth Golf Club, Glan Yr Afon features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers free WiFi. I would definitely stay here again. Loved being right above the pub in such a pretty and quiet village. The room was very comfortable, great bed. The bathroom too was well designed and modern. Strong shower in particular. The breakfast was alright. The staff were so friendly and kind, I only wish someone had been knowledgeable enough to give me more recommendations about what to do in the area besides the obvious things.

Set in Talsarnau and only 10 km from Portmeirion, Maes Y Neuadd Country House offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The owners, Grant and Anne, were kind, helpful and attentive. The place and surroundings are lovely. Dream place all round.
