We had the family apartment, which had complete privacy with a separate entrance and terrace on the corner of the building. That added to our feeling of comfort and even luxury, on top of the overall location of the hotel which is perched on the hillside overlooking the sea. Overall, the rooms and the hotel were in an excellent condition and some aspects seemed freshly renewed (like mosquito nets at the windows and the window shutters - essential in that climate). The hotel is however not a luxury 5 star residence. It does not have a swimming pool or staff serving you on your deck chair. But we were looking for a quiet, serene location where we could unwind and enjoy the sea and nature around us, and that is exactly what we got. A quiet beach was within short walking distance and the two tavernas of the hamlet were all we needed for dinners. There is also a nice hiking trail starting right underneath the hotel, leading to the light house at the top north cape of the island and to another beach. For the rest, a car is needed to reach out to other parts of the island, as there is no public transport available. The staff was friendly and helpful, though we did not interact much since we had our private space and did not really need much. However, whenever we requested something - like clothes hangers that were missing in the wardrobe, we got assisted right away. Moreover, Dina at the reception went out of her way to send us to Belgium the smartwatch that our daughter forgot in the room. The cleaning staff found it and Dina alerted us even before our daughter realised she missed it. That was really appreciated and certainly not quite the standard. (My husband forgot last year his e-reader in a big fancy hotel, but nobody bothered to help us find it.) Overall, we loved the island, which has a very good mixture of nature, historical sites and beaches, with good tourism infrastructure without being overly crowded. We're sure to go back.

A beautiful and peaceful home located next to Kapsali. Manolis and his wife were helpful and very welcoming even though we only stayed for two nights. They made us feel like we already knew them for years!

The room was spacious, comfortable, immaculate, and well-equipped, with a splendid view of the sea and town below and every morning, the sunrise. The breakfasts were outstanding, featuring all the basics plus yummy treats, including daily French patisserie quality cakes or pies, and some kind of savoury casserole or pita, as well as Stella baked bread and homemade jams and marmelades made with fruit from their garden. The team of Stella, son Stathis and his wife Penelope were unbeatable and spent much of their time doing whatever they could imagine to be helpful and generous to guests and creating an atmosphere of pleasant camaraderie. I miss the place already and very much hope to return soon, much like the enthusiastic repeat guests that I met during my stay. Highly recommended!

Great family hotel, the owners' maria and dimitrios are very kind and helpful give every guest fils like home. The rooms are clean and equipped and potatoes is nice small villages just in the center of this quiet and lovely island

A really sweet host who waited for us even though we came in late with the ferry. He wellcomed us with drinks and sweets ready in the refrigerator in a nice and clean room. Breakfast was included and even with fresh pressed orangejuice. We got nice gifts from the host when we checked out.

Implanté à seulement 200 mètres de la plage de Diakofti, l'établissement 4 étoiles Kythira Golden Resort possède une piscine extérieure, un snack-bar, une salle de sport et une connexion Wi-Fi... Well kept, clean, and attractive. Breakfast was excellent. Everyone one treated us like family. Maria was exceptional!
