As I have been numerous times to Makassar and also know the other Hotels which play in the same league (e.g. the 4 Star Hotels located at the seafront),. the Hyatt offers a way better, more luxurious experience for the same price. In my opinion it is by a large margin the currently best choice for a stay in Makassar.

Toraja Sanggalangi Homestay está em Rantepao e conta com Wi-Fi grátis, um jardim e um terraço. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and helpful. We asked Peso to create a tour for us and we were not disappointed! He is very knowledgeable and is thoughtful about his answers and where he takes you. Food was plentiful and we were greeted every afternoon with a delicious fruit drink. Everyone was so very nice. The bed was comfortable too. 😊

The place is really nice, despite being at a 10-minute walk from downtown it is very quite. Cleanliness is good, and Riko and Vanda are very welcoming. I had an exceptional tour with Riko who showed me some gorgeous places and commented them with his heart. Also the local breakfasts where excelent and each day different.

Ibra and the other staff were very friendly and welcoming. The homestay was very clean with big rooms. Ibra organized us a guide to experience the local toraja funerals. Our guide Rita was very knowledgeable and managed to show us multiple funerals at a different state. We could rent a scooter from the homestay for three days. Ibra organized our night bus tickets to makassar and dropped us to the bus station. We could also do a late checkout which was convenient to catch the night bus.

This place had everything we needed including free tea, coffee, water. We had AC and a fan. Location was great, near to restaurants and beaches. The best part was the hosts :) we did a boat trip with franky and it was incredible, I’ll remember it forever! We then missed the public boat back to Manado and franky then offered to take us to the shore, plus organised transport to take us to Manado and booked us tickets for a car to Gorontalo. Definitely would stay again and recommend.

RAMMANG-RAMMANG HOUSE fica em Maros. Kampoeng Karst Rammang Rammang fica a 12 km de distância, Bantimurung Waterfall fica a 25 km e Fort Somba Opu fica a 45 km. The room is basic, but the bed is very comfortable and the family we stayed with is so lovely, that we rate this as one of the best stays we had during our trip in Indonesia. Just sitting on the terrace and watching the villagers is a very nice experience. I would definitely recommend this stay to anybody who wants to taste the local life for a few nights.

Esta casa de temporada tem jardim e estacionamento privativo grátis. loved everything about this place - it is not fancy, but it is very clean and the Hostess is fantastic. we arrived late and she made dinner for us when we got there. The traditional meal she cooked the next day was also great, chicken in bamboo. There is a full bathroom outside the house with a hot water shower, western toilet and two sinks - very clean. The traditional house would not be able to accommodate a bathroom in the building itself. This is an experience to stay in real Toraja house - it is not a fancy hotel - but it is great!!
