We stayed there twice, one night at each end of our two-week holiday in Donegal. We found it a great place to spend our first night after a long flight to Dublin airport (which isn't too far away) and also for finishing off our trip in beautiful and relaxing surroundings. On previous trips to Ireland we'd stayed at other places in County Meath on our first and last nights and they had all been really good but Rathgillen Cabin has become our favourite. Peter, the host, is a very friendly and welcoming fella so we's love it if he'd come to stay with us at our home in Bulgaria some time. And the village has a handy shop, a great pub and a wonderful cafe where we had our final breakfast befor heading home. We were also delighted to discover that Nobber was the birthplace of the 17th Century blind harpist. Turlough O' Carolan whose music we've loved for a long time.

We really appreciated the easy way of accessing the accommodation and clear instructions from staff. The accommodation had excellent heating and was beautifully furnished.

Top class!! The property is picture postcard perfect. Wonderful accommodating hosts with helpful local knowledge, and the most stunning gardens with views. Our only regret is that we did not allow ourselves more time to enjoy the property and the town of Trim. Also, it took us one hour of driving at peck time to drive to Dublin Airport drop off our rental and get to the terminal.

The Lodge was warm with comfortable beds, and we were given a helpful welcome pack on arrival. Our hosts were very accommodating. Well kept grounds with views over fields.

I choose the property because it was self catering which suited my dietary needs, but I was surprised and delighted to see how Lorna had provided all the necessaries to make a cup of tea/coffee and even have a muesli breakfast if i so wished. The property was beautiful, large and comfortable, so much so that when the outside temperature dropped overnight into a hard frost I never noticed. The place was full of thoughtful little touches like a variety of reading materials for all ages. I very much appreciated the experience and without hesitation will rebook when I need to visit this side of the country again. Best wishes to Lorna and Abhi.
