We stayed there twice, one night at each end of our two-week holiday in Donegal. We found it a great place to spend our first night after a long flight to Dublin airport (which isn't too far away) and also for finishing off our trip in beautiful and relaxing surroundings. On previous trips to Ireland we'd stayed at other places in County Meath on our first and last nights and they had all been really good but Rathgillen Cabin has become our favourite. Peter, the host, is a very friendly and welcoming fella so we's love it if he'd come to stay with us at our home in Bulgaria some time. And the village has a handy shop, a great pub and a wonderful cafe where we had our final breakfast befor heading home. We were also delighted to discover that Nobber was the birthplace of the 17th Century blind harpist. Turlough O' Carolan whose music we've loved for a long time.

The cottage is even better than the photos online. It is so clean and comfortable and renovated to a high standard. It has the same kind of luxury feel of a very good hotel! It was also so nice to have everything provided. The breakfast items were very welcome and all the lovely bathroom soaps etc. These are really thoughtful things that make some places special. Thank you.

This was the perfect stopover on my way to Belfast. The hostess was welcoming, provided much more than expected and the room was basic but perfect for my needs.

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking.
