The setting was very nice, with close to all the attractions of the Mullingar area but in the countryside. The host's husband, who was filling in while she attended to family matters, was very friendly and even gave us a tour of his hurling stick manufacturing and shop. It's a gated yard, so it felt very secure, and the breakfast area had everything you needed for a little snack or a good start to the day!

We were also very lucky that we got to meet their dog Harvey who is usually kept away from guests, but he came to say goodbye and is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks Avril and Neil, if we're ever in Athlone again we will 100% be staying with you!
