Such a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Trieste. Huge comfortable bed and everything you need in the bathroom. The good sized (well stocked with cold water) fridge was much appreciated. Fulvio the host had great advice which I'm so glad I followed. He suggested both the Caffè San Marco (beautiful) and Ristorante Bianco with its canalside setting...I had great eating experiences at both. And great advice about getting the #6 bus to Miramare castle rather than the train. Thank you Fulvio! I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever lucky enough to visit beautiful Trieste again.

We booked this one day before arrival as our other accommodation wasn't what we expected so we weren't expecting 5 star glamour or anything! The staff were great and it was easy and hassle free to check in and out, they even gave us some tips on places to go and gave us a map of the city. The room was nice, the bed was unbelievably comfortable and the bathroom was great with a brilliant shower. There was a kettle with some snacks, tea and coffee and also a mini bar if you wanted anything else (extra charge but not crazy prices). I really liked the fact that you could open the windows fully unlike with a lot of hotels where you can just barely get some air in (this could be due to there being decorative metal window bars outside for security reasons I guess), but with it being quite warm and not liking using air conditioning (which the room also had) this was great. The hotel was located just at the end of the main street and about 5/10 minutes walk from the main train and bus stations. Perfect for being close to everywhere without being surrounded by crowds and noise.
