Everything about the place was wonderful. We truly had a great time — the facilities were excellent, the area was pleasant, and the host was exceptionally kind and welcoming. P/S: We especially loved the sorbet — so refreshing and absolutely delicious!

Set within 35 km of Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine and 37 km of Henjou-in Temple, 伯方plus+ offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Imabari. We were very fortunate to have a chance to stay at Hakata Plus homestay. The unit was new and very clean. it was also very close to Hakatajima Bus Station. Lawson mini market was just beside the bus stop. The host Keiichi and wife were very friendly and extremely helpful. So coincident it was Cherry Blossoms at Hirakiyama Park, appreciate Keiichi to drive us there for sunset view. We were so excited to see the beautiful Sakura all over the mountain. Really appreciate his kindness to spend time for us. The homestay's view was excellent in which the window screen focuss the entire view of the beach, island and the Oshima Bridge. It was the perfect stay among many places we stayed in Japan. Highly recommended place to stay for those whose come to Hakata Island

Situated 35 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, みやうら御殿 offers 2-star accommodation in Imabari and features a garden. This apartment features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Masashi-san and Mamiko-san made me feel at home. The property is a bit uphill, so you end up getting incredible views on Omishima island, and there's also a nice rock garden. Food options on the island are limited so I appreciated the lovely dinner after a long day's ride, and I also appreciate the vegen option offered 🙏🏻 all in all, would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks for a lovely stay

Located in Hikino, ゲストハウスみちしお provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property features sea views. Koji is the most generous owner and genunely welcome to help. He picked us up from the port and even picked us up from another port in the night time (we survived from the most adventurous journey - thankful to Koji!). Talk about the place: the guesthouse is cozy and warm. The shared facilities included kitchen and washing machine. The price of ramen and washing pods are the same price in the convenience store and may be cheaper. E-bikes are also provided with the cheap rate (1000 yen/day).

Situated just 26 km from Mishima Shrine, ゲストハウス 西村サイクル（24C） features accommodation in Izume with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. The host was so friendly and accommodating. we wished we had stayed here for more than a day. The kids were so attracted to the Atari TV game console and it brought back such fond memories for us. House was super clean and modern, and well equipped. we loved the comfort of sleeping on plush futons in the tatami bedrooms. Unit was only 3 minutes from a huge super mart. Highly recommended.

Now that I've stayed, I can see why all the reviews are so positive. This guesthouse is PERFECTLY outfitted to provide a comfortable experience for travelers. It's visually stunning, and contains everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is no food in easy walking distance, but the local Family Mart is an easy bike ride - and the kitchen is *well* outfitted. There are even some snacks, instant ramen, and curry / rice available for purchase (honor system) if you are hungry. The service from the staff was also wonderful. I'll be sure to go out of my way to stay here again if I'm in the area. Like another review said: Book with your eyes closed!

Guesthouse Farmor - Vacation STAY 15083v asub Imabaris, 37 km kaugusel Senkoji templist, 38 km kaugusel MOU Onomichi linna kunstimuuseumist ja Jodoji templist. Kohapeal on tasuta eraparkla. After a full day of cycling across the Shimanami small islands, we finally arrived at the guesthouse. I stood at the entrance near the door and said "hello" a few times, but no one came out. At the end of the room, I saw someone peacefully napping. So, I went out for a walk while waiting for the sweet nap to finish. After about 20 minutes, I came back and greeted again. A woman who looked around 60 years old came out and welcomed us with a smile. After setting everything up, I sat down in the living room and made a cup of black tea. There was some aroma placed in the cabinet, so I asked the hostess if I could try it. After she introduced the aroma, she urged us to soak to the onsen right away. The sunset over the bridge I saw during the onsen was truly amazing—a kind of magic hour. After the onsen and dinner, I returned to the guesthouse, continued enjoying my tea, and tried an aroma called "眠" (Sleep). In that moment, I experienced complete peace, as if time had paused. After spacing out for about two hours, I went to sleep. The night was a little cold. To my surprise, the next morning I saw my sleep score was 97—something I had never reached before. I felt full of energy the next day. It’s really unbelievable—the sleep quality I had there. I still haven’t been able to replicate it. Before leaving the guesthouse, we had a conversation. She said she had worked in Tokyo for about 20 years. After her parents passed away, she moved here. She honestly said there were too many people in Tokyo and she didn’t like it. She prefers the peace here. At that moment, I felt she had shown me how beautiful peace can be. And I realized that, in part of my heart, I’m the same as her. We said goodbye to the hostess and told her, "Stay healthy. We’ll come again."

What an amazing experience. Incredible view and helped us with the bikes over the shimanami kaido. Food was delicious eaten looking out to ikuchi island. Wish we could have stayed another day and explored every island fully, or afforded to.
