Extremely clean and comfortable, I had a room with private oven semi open to the outside, which was awesome. Very nice room well equipped. Staff members are nice, very professional and speak English, same for the owner. I highly recommend to have dinner there, it was delicious. Location is great, around 5 minutes from the main attractions of kusatsu. I would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous Hotel. Was the most traditional feel of the hotels we visited. Set menu breakfast was typically Japanese and staff were so good to us. The room was massive with some lovely touches, paper interior windows, Japanese style flooring. The Onsen was fabulous and everything in the town was short walking distance.

Beautiful lodge in a beautiful area in Japan. The owner was so accommodating and made our stay extra special. He gave great recommendations for restaurants, day trips as well as the coolest onsen. This place is a gem out of the touristy areas and we will definitely return. Good breakfast and great coffee that can be enjoyed in a very spacious common area downstairs. Facilities are great and very clean.

The room is very spacious, the facilities are brand new and clean, and the soundproofing is excellent. The private bath outside the room is fantastic; it was snowing on the day of my stay, making the snow bath very enjoyable. The staff is incredibly friendly to foreigners, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Although I don't know the name of the staff on that day, the service was excellent.

What a wonderful place to calm down and take a deep breath. The staff was extraordinary kind and caring, the food (meat and vegetarian option, dinner and breakfast) was fantastic and enjoying the private hot bath while being outside was just best. We even got up early to participate in the morning meditation, which was a wonderful start into the day.

It must be made known to everyone who sees this comment that this hotel is the filming location for Episode 5 of the classic 1990s Japanese drama "Tokyo Love Story." The room where the male and female leads stayed has been nearly 100% preserved to retain its original appearance. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the station, and the staff are warm and hospitable, sharing many details related to the drama (such as which specific room was used). The view outside the room's window remains exactly the same as it was back then. Due to time constraints, I only stayed for one night, but if I have the opportunity in the future, I will definitely choose to stay here again for a longer period. By the way, the breakfast and dinner included with the stay are also classic and delicious!

Location. It is very close to Yubatake. The place is very clean. I like that the baths are private because I am not comfortable being naked with other ladies.

We loved this traditional Japanese house! Everything about it is absolutely beautiful. Clean and comfortable rooms, nice spaces and traditional shared showers. We would stay here again.

Perfect location, very clean flat, very comfortable - we spent a really nice evening in town and enjoyed the festival. The appartment is adorable and the owner was extremely friendly - as were the people in town. It was a memorable stay!

It’s very near to the tourist spot yubatake. The hotel has 2 private onsen bath. The hotel feels like a boutique hotel. Really nice stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. For those driving, can park at the public carpark and the staff will give you a complimentary overnight parking that valid from 3pm to 10am the next day.

As usual great dinner, this time in the tatami room and not the restaurant, made it even better. It doesn't feel crowded even though a lot of rooms were reserved. Onsen was perfect. A must stay in the Takasaki area.

The pure Japan experience! This is a location where the majority of the visitors are Japanese, which makes the stay most authentic. The Onsen are beautiful and dinners amazing. But, perhaps most important, the staff is extremely nice and helpful!

We stayed in cabins, it was good and specious..But was not cleaned properly.. These are away from the main hotel, so it's a distance to walk..I believe they provide transportation to come to main building, but I didn't use it as we had our bikes..They have a natural onsen but indoor which you need to pay extra, it in the main building. It was a good experience..I was expecting an outdoor like the picture shown, but couldn't find it..

The location is a ways out of Takaseki, but well worth the trip. It is in a peaceful valley and next door to their beautiful temple. Our host, the monk of the temple, was kind enough to guide us through the temple and even gave us an opportunity to meditate there. Very special. A truly beautiful experience and lovely place to stay.

A truly incredible stay with some of the friendliest staff I've ever seen. Our room and private onsen were fantastic. The dinner was incredibly lovely and really added to the already fantastic experience. The scenery is just beautiful and there's gorgeous viewing windows to relax and watch as long as you'd like.

The hotel was in a great location, close to everything but not right in the middle of it all. The room was beautiful, the staff were helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure guests were comfortable and assisted in any way they could. Even offering shuttle rides to any attraction that was further away than a 15 min walk. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back.
