The incredible hospitality and amount of caring will leave you stunned. The owner picked us up from the station and when we were leaving, drove us back. The whole accommodation feels very homey. The gaming room, private onsens and nintendo in the room made us feel like we're on a vacation at our favourite uncle. Breakfast was also excellent. We can 100% recommend and will stay again!

Built in 1913, the Kusatsu Hotel exhibits the architectural style of the Japanese Taisho Era.

Magical historical hotel in Kusatsu! Right next to the hot springs park and situated on a slope overlooking the mountains and town. We were a bit afraid to book because the photos of the rooms didn’t look too appealing, but in reality both the rooms and the hotel itself is beautiful, modernised and comfortable inside, while maintaining a lovely period vibe! The public bath was also nice, with a relaxing outdoor pool.

Incredible experience of a traditional Ryokan in Japan. Onsen facilities were perfect and allowed for mixed gender bathing which is perfect for couples. Dinner was excellent. The free transfer from the local Shinkansen station was on time and easy to arrange, made for a very relaxing trip from Tokyo.

Check in was a breeze! We were able to store our luggage before check in and they moved them to our room. The staff was kind and helpful. The location is right across the street from konbini, bus stops and restaurants. The bathroom was huge and luxurious. The hotel provided comfy PJs and slippers. The kitchen was fully equipped (no cooking oils or salt but this place was so good I'm not even mad). The washer dryer combo worked SO well- I've never had a machine be this effective. The best were the comfiest sleep we've had in 2 weeks. No problems with the wifi at all. The building was quiet and had lovely views.

The property is modern, contemporary and clean. With a wonderfully calm atmosphere and great views of the near by hills and river. Each room has its own onsen on the balcony. The staff are friendly and so helpful. They even called ahead for us to see if some things we wanted to do were open. We can’t wait to come back!

This tucked-away remodeled 120 year old geisha house has been redone beautifully. The owners have created a wonderful, inviting atmosphere that reflects their kind and generous nature. The place also has a restaurant that features Spanish and Argentine cuisine and serves a great breakfast. An unexpected delight in Kiryu!

Everything was wonderful. We were warmly greeted by the head monk and his staff. The facilities were amazing and the rooms gorgeous. The futons were comfortable and the food was genuinely the best we have had in Japan. Turns out the priest was trained as a chef in Kyoto. They were great catering to our vegan and gluten free needs.

One of the best stay in my life! Room is big, clean and quiet, typical Japanese style. Breakfast was awesome, and the onsen was exceptional. Just locate at the entrance of the Sainokawara Park, and just a few minutes walk from the Yubatake and the Otaki no yu Onsen. Mrs Miki is soooo nice!
