The owner was very hospitable and communicative throughout the stay with welcome snacks and drinks. Owner was also Always willing to help and answer questions. Apartment was very very well equipped with cutlery and pots and pans, washing machine . We felt the owner put in great thought on what would make the guest feel at home at Ibusuki shione. There was an onsen water bathtub in the apartment . Apartment was serving views 😍😍😍. Apartment had good location walkable or able to get around easily to some major attractions by bicycle . We walked 6 minutes to the sand bath and we were able to reach slightly after opening Time which was very nice as there weren’t a lot of people .

The owner runs the place alone, but he still went all the way to the airport to pick me up. Despite my very limited Japanese ability, we were able to communicate quite well.. But the most important thing was he helped me rent a small scooter that I surely would not be able to rent without a local person vouching for me. This made my Amami trip really unforgettable and I'm forever grateful for the help I have received here! Also the evening of tasting local shōchū and stargazing was amazing. I will be back!

Don't think twice, it's an amazing hotel! My wife has gluten intolerance and the staff of the hotel was accompanying her and giving all the support to have gluten and lactose free food!! Amazing!

The host Yuki was very kind and showed me around the home and introduced me to other guests staying here. I got to experience living in a traditional Japanese tatami room and the futon was very comfortable. The stay was very enjoyable and the neighbourhood was very calm and peaceful

Everything is great! Barbara is an amazing host, she makes sure that you understand everything and she creates a healthy atmosphere. It is also very easy to talk with people and would recommend for people traveling alone. The old architecture gives the place a magical atmosphere.
