Had a fun time exchanging travel sketchbooks with the receptionist and also getting to know Miku, the owner Juniya's cat (The name of the ryokan is a portmanteau of both of their names!). - Room is large and comfortable - Food was simple but delicious - Overall, the ryokan was clean and extremely relaxing to stay in

A 3-minute stroll from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto boasts an outdoor hot spring bath. It offers luxurious Japanese-style and Western rooms and a free shuttle from Miyajima Pier. I need to rave abut this hotel. Firstly, i had arrived onto miyajima island really late due to some confusion in kyoto. I had informed the staff that I was delayed and was likely to only arrive after 9pm. They told me to call the hotel so that they can send the shuttle over but once i arrived, i saw that the shuttle was already waiting for me! And I was delayed from the time I told them I would arrive so they must have waited longer than expected. Once I got to the hotel, as they knew to expected me, check in was super quick. Hotel was beautiful and the single rooms were really cute (though small in the way japanese rooms usually are). Location of the hotel also cannot be beat it is right in the middle of all the attractions, and the staff were knowledgeable about the opening hours of attractions. Just when i thought it could not get better, when i told the hotel I was trying to catch a particular ferry timing back to hiroshima, they rushed me to the terminal and i managed to make the ferry! The team went above and beyond to make this solo traveller comfortable and safe. Thank you so much! :)

宮島 町家宿 進龍庵 ligger i Miyajima, 2,4 km från Tsutsumigaura strand, 5 minuters promenad från Toyokuni Shrine Five-Story Pagoda och 700 m från Itsukushima-helgedomen, och erbjuder boende med en balkong och... The host gave us an amazing hospitality. We enjoyed this Japanese style inn so much. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely go back there for our next visit to Miyajima.

Unique hotel in a renovated Japanese home. Great location, quiet. It was very hot so a/c had difficulty keeping up but small issue for us. Great staff who served us a delicious breakfast which was included.

Huge (for Japanese standard), comfortable, great location, Japanese style. Owner responds immediately to any enquires. Just great.

Kinsuikan ligger i Miyajima, 2,6 km från Tsutsumigaura strand, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en restaurang. We had an amazing experience here. We felt so pampered and welcomed. Dinner was great, everyone was so nice and help whenever was needed. Highly recommended.

Our stay was absolutely amazing — we had such a great time! It was so special to experience a traditional Japanese-style stay with a luxurious touch. The atmosphere was calm and authentic, yet every detail felt refined. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the traditional Japanese breakfast was a real highlight — the salmon in particular was delicious. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and communicated well in English, which made everything smooth and stress-free. I truly loved every part of our stay. 100% recommend!
