Everything was great! It's the perfect place if you're looking for some relaxation and peaceful days. The hostel is located immediately at the sea. You can sit on the patio and enjoy the view and calming waves of the ocean. Both, the guesthouse and the café are beautiful and the owners are wonderfully kind and welcoming. There is also a kitchen which can be used by the guests.

We had a wonderful stay. Mr. Namba-sama was an exceptionally kind and helpful host. The accommodation was beautiful and very clean, and the train station as well as the main sights were easily reachable by bus or on foot. A truly lovely little town with the best host imaginable! The hosts were extremely attentive. Cooking facilities were available shared with the family. The bathroom was also shared but there was no problem whatsoever. We really loved staying here in amazing surroundings. At the weekends go to the little cafe at the top of the road where there is local guitar playing. Tell the Sylvie from London told you to go.

This is a traditional ryokan in an amazing setting. The facilities are very basic, but the food was truly exceptional, awesome variety, always left us satisfied, full and happy.

Very, very, very beautiful ryokan. The owner already greeted us at the entrance and was extremely friendly. The room was also beautiful and made you feel like living in Edo period Japan. The onsen was very relaxing, and after it, my partner was offered to wear a nice yukata for dinner. The food was extraordinary (although it could mostly not be adjusted for my admittedly picky partner, see below), both in terms of taste and in the way it was presented. I would definitely recommend this ryokan anytime to any traveller.

I had the chance to be at the right place at the right time with the right Aoyagi san is really welcoming and I had a great time at his place. 100% recommended. Probably one of my best souvenir in Japan. Tsuwano is quiet charming and all the community really helpfull.
