Onyado Nono Matsue Natural Hot Spring อยู่ห่างจากพิพิธภัณฑ์อนุสรณ์แล็ฟคาดิโอ เฮิร์น 1.7 กม. - amazing rooftop onsen (from the women’s bath little window you can see the castle!) - with free ice cream afterwards - big rooms, with comfortable beds and cute decorations to give a traditional feeling (even the ceiling had 2 different types of wood paneling. Mine had a view of the canal. Higher ones could have a castle or lake view. - amazing breakfast buffet, with a lot of local specialties (Izumo soba, zenzai…) - within walking distance of the castle and historical houses.

The interior was really cozy and the hosts were extremely friendly. There’s also a cafe bar so you can get a coffee or night cap which was lovely. There’s also hosts also made great suggestions for places to go for dinner and trails we could go on a walk on. The breakfast was also delicious. Absolutely recommend this place for your quiet getaway to Tsuwano.

Loved this place. Amazing location and such a well designed dorm room. As a bonus the owner is delightful.

Inishie no Yado Keiun เป็นที่พัก 4 ดาวซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในอิซึโมะ ห่างจากหาด Inasa Beach 2.3 กม. และห่างจาก Shimane Museum of Ancient Izumo 400 ม. ที่พักนี้อยู่ห่างจากศาลเจ้าอิซุโมะ-ไทฉะ 1.2 กม. Clean, quiet, great food, staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, I loved the onsen in our room, and the self grinding coffee was excellent, beautifully decorated.

喜庵 KIAN the guest house by the castle อยู่ห่างจากพิพิธภัณฑ์อนุสรณ์แล็ฟคาดิโอ เฮิร์น 900 ม. เป็นที่พัก 2 ดาวในมัตสึเอะและให้บริการสวน ที่พักนี้ตั้งอยู่ห่างจากทะเลสาบชินจิ 4.3 กม. Great stay in a lovely guesthouse. Emi, the host, was amazing! She was super friendly and welcomed us with some tea and sweets. She had great tips for stuff to do around Matsue (she recommended this beautiful sunset watching spot!) and was overall a very gracious host. The room was very large and we just had the nicest and most relaxing stay in a long 24-day exploration vacation in Japan.

This was a once-in-a-Lifetime experience! I could not rate them any higher if I tried. The host picked me up from the small railway station. At no charge. He helped me carry my heavy suitcase. Don’t bring one there if you can help it. He took me to this most beautiful location right next to a Buddhist-monastery. In the middle of the woods, going through small, adventurous roads. I was greeted with a matcha 🍵 and a sweet. A can of tea was given to me. My room had a big window to the woods. I went to view the surroundings and I was honestly stunned. His wife asked me if I wanted a bath and at what time I wished to eat. The food served in a separate private room by the family ( grandma and wife) was out of this world. So much love put into that. So much effort. And it never ended, the arrival of even more little pots and pans. I then slept in the perfectly clean little bed on the floor. Rainy night, so cozy. Breakfast was served and just as perfect as the evening before. The host took me back to the train. I left my bag at the station to see the Adachi- museum of art. All in all, if you are after the real Japanese experience- go here! I took the train here for 6 hours, and I would always do this again. I just wish they put their prices up. They are so much worth this- and more.
