Central location. Free parking in the middle of downtown for the duration of your stay. Next door neighbor to a beautiful church, a park, playground and a calm area used as an Ice skating rink in the winter months. Clean common areas, with several cozy sitting groups with big leather chairs and candle light.

Stayed overnight travelling from Norway to Sweden and the location was convenient as just 10 mins from E6. Driving up to the hotel provides great views of the fortress. Nice outdoor areas to enjoy the sunset. The room was spacious and modern. Free parking.

On my arrival (Sunday 23 June) at nearly 8pm, the receptionist was extremely helpful, advising me of good places to eat, and recommended a very good pub with a good selection of ales, it made for a very pleasant evening. The welcome was very friendly and hospitable. Staff like her are an asset to a hotel. My bike was accommodated. It was a brief but very pleasant stay, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Renovated apartment, Host Anka was really kind and had everything you need. Food and drinks in the fridge, perfect stay - highly recommend!

Excellent location, close to the sea and to hiking trips. Beautiful surroundings, and a very well-preserved building. Worth a visit just to look at it and enjoy the garden, but well worth staying at. Very kind and helpful staff.

We have stayed here on several occasions over the past 5 years and it has been constantly improving. This year the dining room has been refurbished to a good standard. Surprisingly, the noise from the motorway is not particularly bad. The location, just off the motorway, makes it an ideal place to break the journey.
