We stayed at the Hilton and Sofitel while on the island but this lodge scored the highest for us on great value and friendly stay. Things we liked - • comfy bed • great, large balcony with nice chairs • well equipped, clean kitchen and bathroom • extremely clean • FREE pick up and drop off from port - which is very expensive in French Polynesia • most friendly, kind and helpful owners • idyllic garden • lovely owners with help you organise tours, trips and things to do on the island • great location on the island - minutes walk from great restaurants, fantastic bakery, bank, supermarket, pharmacy and beach cafes • could easily stay here days / weeks!

Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Tema'e Beach House is a recently renovated homestay set in Temae, less than 1 km from Temae Beach. With garden views, this accommodation provides a terrace. The accommodation offers free shuttle service, a shared kitchen and currency exchange for guests. Immaculate vibes, I had such a great time, would 100% stay again! The house was super cute and clean, and I met so many great people here, including the host, Nick. The place has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook, there was also snorkel gear for rent which was super convenient. The bathroom and shower was very clean and nice too. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone!

Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The apartment provides sea views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The peaceful atmosphere the view was awesome but should cut the top of the bushes in order to see the view. We were in #6.when we had a request for something we heard back very quickly and our needs were met.

Location on the ocean was amazing! A/C in the bedroom. Road into the Bungalow is a bit rough, but we took it slow and no issues. Excellent directions were given. Be prepared for ants and mosquitos like most tropical locations. We watched black fin sharks navigate the coral from the beach. Would stay again 🩷

With a nice deck to sit outside for breakfast or in the evening, fruit trees all around the house packed with fruit at this time of the year, and the beach across the street for sunset and where you can do good snorkelling - we saw plenty of friendly sting rays and sharks there too. Jean Ro gave us heaps of information and was amazingly hospitable. Great plus to have kayaks and SUPs free to use in the lagoon to discover spots at your own pace.

Well appointed. Jeanro is incredibly helpful and nice and the kayaks are an excellent bonus.

The property is non-smoking and is set 1.2 km from Papetoai Beach. Manea was great - the place was clean and comfortable and in a good location. He even let us do a load of laundry and has a car to let. Access to the water is a short walk away (to launch kayaks, etc). We were there over Christmas and he even put up a little Christmas tree in the outdoor kitchen with a present under it for us!
