It's a small hotel in the historic center walking distance to a lot of the places you would like to see in Funchal. The room and facilities are simple, modern, comfortable, and clean, The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast (included in the room price) is basic but sufficient for my needs, with a variety of breads, cereal, cold cuts cheese, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea etc. The AC in the room worked well. I would happily stay here again if I returned to Funchal.

We had a wonderful stay at Aqua Natura Madeira. The room was fantastic and the ocean view was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to it was a highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to assist and make our stay comfortable. The spa facilities added an extra magical touch to the experience. There’s nothing better than soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of conquering levadas — such a perfect reward. At night, we were treated to beautiful views of the night sky and stars, which made the experience even more special and memorable. Breakfast was also excellent, with great quality and variety. We are really happy we chose this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Just a small note for future guests: if you plan to use the natural pools located just beneath the hotel, keep an eye on the weather. In case of severe conditions, they may be closed. This has nothing to do with the hotel, as the pools are a public facility — just something to be aware of to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended!

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Teresa is a very welcoming person. We like our stay a lot. Bed is very comfortable. The room and facilities are very clean. Breakfast is just great and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Highly recommended.

Charming hotel with its own peculiar vibe. It was very calm and quiet, even though there was a party at the property one of the evenings. Breakfast was very nice and offered many options. The staff is what makes this such a precious experience - even more so than the views (and they are already fantastic).

Atlandi ookeani kaljul paiknev disainhotell asub renoveeritud traditsioonilises talumajas. Asukoht kalju peal vaatega ookeanile, suur sisehoov, kohale saab igale poole liftiga. Tervisekeskus oli mõnus, 2 mullivanni ja suur soendusega bassein vaatega ookeanile, imeline. Hommikusöök väga rikkalik, restoranis tasemel söök.Jalutuskäigu kaugusel toidupood.Restorane väljaspool ei külastanud kuna oli torm.Väga hea planeeringuga hotell.
