On the cold, wet, rainy day we arrived this was a welcome and somewhat unexpected treat (many places in Portugal do not have heat). The concept of the house, spacious rooms around a courtyard in a wonderfully renovated old building, has been done quite well. Super location for seeing all of historic Santarém. Convenient parking garage down the street. Hotel is located in a nice shopping district. The place was so great and comfortable we booked a night on our return journey.

A house to be away from the city, noise and confusion and have contact with fauna and flora in their natural habitat. The location is amazing. Right in the middle of national park, and very close to the limestone quarries
