It is up a very steep slope so we parked at the bottom after one attempt. Three bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets. One of each upstairs and downstairs. There was never a problem or a queue. Dishwasher and washing machine available. Samantha is super and if dinner is offered and one of you speaks and understands French, it is really worth spending an evening with her and her family chatting while you eat her interesting and different Creole based food. A great way to find out about the way of life on Reunion and their plans. Near to Hellbourg and surrounding areas. Spectacular views.

Great location for hiking several trails in the area and for checking out town without actually being in town. Very comfortable stay, nicely appointed kitchen. Great having a washing machine and a dishwasher! Not many noisy dogs/roosters in the area and those that were tended to be only during daylight hours (if you stay on any of the islands this becomes important!) The house is in good repair and very good sized for two.

Chez Nou..., que tiene vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con jardín, terraza y restaurante a unos 7 km de Cirque de Mafate. Tengo muchas cosas buenas que decir de este lugar y de su gente. Reservamos dos días diferentes con ellos con el objetivo de hacer una ruta circular por los circos de reunión. El primer día llegamos a la noche, cansados, con frío y sin internet porque no funcionaba nuestro roaming. Michelle sin embargo, nos acogió con las manos abiertas, nos ofreció su propio internet y nos relajó, nos dijo que nos diéramos una ducha caliente y luego estaríamos más calmados. Ese día dormimos genial. A la mañana siguiente el desayuno con unas vistas espectaculares de mafate solo puedo mejorar el lugar. A pesar de que estábamos sin internet, Mario y Michelle no dudaron en ayudarnos para planificar la ruta, buscar las lineas de bus de vuelta e incluso nos acompañaron hasta el inicio en Col de Boeuf. Después de tres días de ruta, llegamos nuevamente de noche, cansados y lloviendo... Pero Michelle nos regaló una sonrisa y un abrazo. Nos ofreció una ducha caliente y una cena criolla espectacular, deliciosa! A la mañana siguiente no pudimos decirles otra cosa más que estar agradecidos por su comportamiento tan humano y cercano, lejos de ser una relación entre un huésped y unos anfitriones, nos cuidaron como a unos padres. Gracias Mario y Michelle! Además de esta historia de amor. Debo decir que el lugar es idóneo para quienes quieren iniciar una ruta al circo de mafate o establecerte como campamento base para varias rutas por salazie y el resto de circos.

This is the first time that I give 10 points. The location is absolutely amazing ! Beautiful nature wherever you look. Even with the fog and the rain it was awesome. The silence , peace and calm were God sent. The house itself is beautiful and comfortable with 2 beds with good , solid mattresses. The balcony was nice for taking in the view. The heater was wonderful and provided a cozy temperature. The kettle was useful and the friendly hosts were so nice and gave us a welcome drink/snack.

Beautiful view from the garden and close to many nice hikes. We had an amazing stay, way too short!

Gite LA CASCADE BLANCHE está en Salazie y ofrece vistas a la montaña, jardín, terraza y bar. En la casa o chalet, tanto el wifi como el parking privado son gratis. What shall I say. People indeed make a difference, and that's why we would return without hesitation. The warmth we experienced from Fissa, Antoine, and Tom was incredible! We felt genuinely welcomed and enjoyed two superb dinners with them. Sharing the table with other guests, we engaged in delightful conversations, although our french was almost not existing, and savored a glass (or two) of rum. Unforgettable! A special thank you to Tom, who provided unwavering support throughout our stay. Even when we faced a memory storage issue, he came to our rescue (and sacrificed his sleep ^^). The next little house is approximately 50 meters away, ensuring ample privacy. Ours even had a Jacuzzi, a delightful addition after a hike. We adore animals, so it was charming to see a lovely dog and a donkey strolling around. While the house and its furnishings weren't extravagant, they had everything you needed and, most importantly, were impeccably clean.
