Not long after we left our car left the road due to the snow and our host Per was very kind and superb and arranged for his friend to come with a tractor and rescue us. The house is beautifully located at the edge of a lake, offering breathtaking views. Upon arrival, Stefan had already heated the cabin for us, making it warm and cozy. As soon as we looked out the window, we were treated to an incredible northern lights show – an absolutely magical welcome! The next day, Stefan took us on an amazing trip to the mountains, where we saw a herd of moose up close. Later, we explored the frozen lake and surrounding forest on snowmobiles, which was such a thrilling adventure! In the evening, we relaxed in the wood-burning sauna, which was perfect after a day out in the cold. To top it off, we went for another snowmobile ride at night, which created an incredible and almost surreal atmosphere. Stefan is a fantastic host—very welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about the area. He made sure we had the best experience possible. If you’re looking for a true Arctic adventure combined with comfort and stunning nature, Camp Caroli is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

I had a great stay at Aurora River Camp! The owner was incredibly kind and caring, making sure everything was perfect during my visit. While the hotel isn’t located in the downtown area, they offer convenient transport for 300 SEK, which was really helpful. The location is excellent—just across from the famous Ice Hotel and an extra 20-minute walk to the reindeer sites from the Ice Hotel. They also arrange various activities, making it a great spot for those looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation. The atmosphere was so peaceful that I honestly wished I could have stayed longer. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended for a cozy and personalized experience in nature!
