I really enjoyed my stay at Banthai Guesthouse and in Pretburi in general, and next time I would stay for a few days! The guest house was very cute, and the host was gracious and accommodating. I was able to text to let them know when I would arrive so I could drop my suitcase off, and she gave me a great recommendation for a dinner restaurant. I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go (train station, restaurants, Phra Nakhon Khiri Historical Park) within 30 minutes. Even though the rooms are not AC, I thought the fan kept things plenty cool, and I was very comfortable. They even provided a simple European style breakfast with toast, coffee (instant), tea, and yogurt.

I would recommend a stay here to everyone. Being so close to the animals was amazing and taking the full day tour meant we understood the amazing work that is being done by the centre.

There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. It is like a home away from home. The two sisters took very good care of me and all the other guests. They cooked vegan breakfasts for me, provided bicycles, a map, and lots of advice about shopping and how to get around. Not surprisingly, several of those in the hotel were returning guests. I too hope to make it there again!
