Our decision to choose the TAI Urban Resort as our base for exploring southern Taiwan was spot on. It was one of our favorite hotels so far. The hotel is within walking distance of the MRT and also the LRT, a tram line that circles the city center. For some sights, we simply took a taxi or booked a tour with a private driver. These five nights in a large, Japanese-style room were impressive. A lovely sitting area with a view, large, comfortable beds with high-quality linens, and beautiful lighting. The arrangement with the bathroom area not being completely separate seemed a bit unusual in the photos, but we found it practical and wonderful in person. There is also a separate toilet and a separate shower room. What was unusual for us was that there wasn't just breakfast, but a combination of breakfast and brunch. Guests can choose whether to visit the restaurant floor early in the morning or wait for brunch time. The buffet is open continuously until 2 pm and offers a great international food selection. A fantastic solution for guests with different needs. In the evening, a dinner buffet is offered in the same location. The layout is a bit unusual, as the stylish lobby is on the 25th floor, and after check-in, you take the elevator down to the guest room floors. Also worth mentioning is the 50-meter-long pool in the upper quarter of the building. The view of the city from there is spectacular, and the view while swimming through the glass bottom, 100 meters down to the ground, is even more spectacular, if not a little awe-inspiring. This hotel lists Chinese as their language. We found English was working well, too.

InterContinental Kaohsiung, an IHG Hotel provides accommodation with 4 on-site restaurants, 1 bakery, and 1 lounge bar. 新しくモダンで洗練されている。清潔感があり、ホテルの前は大きな公園を伴う道路で、車の通行量は少ない。 スタッフの皆さんのホスピタリティもとても良かった。朝食も満足。

There are plenty of options to satisfy all, from decadent to healthy options, from Asia to the west; I have never been more proud of being Taiwanese whenever I get to enjoy a hotel buffet in Taiwan; even more so when I get to watch the look of wonder in foreign guests' faces.

Featuring a rooftop swimming pool and a fitness centre, H2O HOTEL also has 3 on-site restaurants and a bar. I stayed here with my husband for 2 nights in November. This hotel was actually recommended by my sister who stayed here a couple months prior and she loved it so much she insisted I stay here as well. I'm so glad I did. H20 exceeded my expectations. Extremely friendly and professional staff. They also helped shuttle us to the high speed rail station. The shuttle is a private van where we were the only passengers. There's also shuttle service for them to pick up H20 customers from the HSR station as well. Even better this service is free to H20 customers! Our room was spacious and very clean. We booked the package that included a free breakfast. The food was delicious. Included both Western and Asian cuisines. You had the option to grab food from the buffet bar or you can request chefs to make specific dishes that the staff will bring directly to your table (including dishes like french toast, abalone congee, steak, etc). It was truly a memorable and outstanding experience, and I will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future when I'm in Kaohsiung.

The hotel features a fitness centre and a 24-hour front desk. 総合的に文句が全く無く快適な素晴らしいホテルです。駅から近い、清潔で綺麗、フロント/清掃スタッフともに親切で気持ちの良い接客態度、水回りも良く付帯施設も充実しています。ウォシュレット、バスタブがありお部屋は広い。トイレは独立、洗面台も広い。アメニティもとても良い香りでしたし、無料提供されていた烏龍茶も美味しいものでした。とても素晴らしいホテルです。高雄にきたらぜひ再訪したいホテルでした。
