The property is beautifully landscaped and the buildings are set apart from each other so there’s a sense of spaciousness with gorgeous, lush common areas. I LOVED the very low exterior lighting. Just enough to see where the garden borders are but not so much that the stars were blocked out. I loved that there were pet waste stations all over the place; it really gave a vibe that my dog was welcome there. The “partial river view” from my room was only “partial” because the river is half hidden by a terraced garden, which was not a problem for me at all; not like if it was blocked by another building. The view was beautiful! Incredible value for money!

The Magnolia Hotel is truly an absolute recommendation. The rooms are beautifully and very cozily furnished; you can immediately tell that great attention has been paid to many lovely details and tasteful decoration. You feel comfortable right away. The shared areas are also especially nice, including the cozy sitting area with a sofa and the very well-equipped kitchen. The personal welcome was also very warm and thoughtful, making us feel truly welcome from the very beginning. A real highlight was the included breakfast: excellent, lovingly prepared, and of a quality you would never really expect in the USA. I would come back anytime.

In short, a spectacular destination hotel. Brilliant (and challenging) in its conception and execution. A flawless performance aesthetically, practically, and worth every penny. Hats off! In spite of being some 7000km away from the UK, hope to return some day.
