Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. From the moment you enter the property, you know you're in for a special treat! Upon entering reception, we were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in. After that, we had a personal tour around the property and then were shown our wonderful chalet. The deck is large and has a fabulous view of the canyon forest. The bed is comfortable. The bathing area is AMAZING. The restaurant staff is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The food is great! We already have it in mind for our next visit to the Storms River area!

The hosts were absolutely wonderful and helpful. The location is breathtaking - perfect if you want some peace and quiet and have the feeling you are surrounded by nature. We were able to light a fire and sit under the stars. A dip in the natural pool was amazing after a warm day. Cute dogs and great affordable breakfast prepared with love. 10/10

Loved the garden setting, the braai facilities and utilities offered. We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The Cottage is spacious and had everything we need! We only stayed for a night but I wish it had been longer. The room was very spacious with modern finishes. There was a hairdryer, kettle, mini fridge and microwave. There were also plates, cutlery and glasses if you’d prefer to cook your own meals instead of eating at the village restaurant. The bed was very comfy and there was a wall heater which provided some warmth on a chilly night. Lots of warm hot water for showering and extra blankets for the bed as well. Would absolutely return again!

The setting is spectacular. Property is beautiful. Food was very good. Some of the staff went above and beyond. Some were fine. The bar tender, and the quad bike guide were fabulous. Definitely would recommend it.
