Sidewalks were well salted, parking lot was plowed. We were the only CAR in the lot!!! All trucks & snowmobiles :)

Location was perfect for our purposes. Breakfast was included and was well stocked and delicious. We were notified of the pool closure before we arrived so we weren’t surprised when we arrived. Staff was polite and kind. Internet was fast.

Brimley was a quiet town with a lot to offer.
Brimley was a quiet town with a lot to offer. Restaurants, gas station, beautiful views of the Bay.
We followed the coast to the West, stopped at Iroquois Lighthouse, Tahquanomon Falls, and Whitefish Point. Just 2 miles down the road from our motel in Brimley is Bay Mills casino. Was a wonderful surprise to us. Great food & fun to end our day.

My son loves the big boats.
My son loves the big boats. Being able to check on the app or call the hot line as to weekday what ships were coming when made the stay even better. There's so much to see there that it made the stay even better.

A quiet hotel which, for me, is important.
A quiet hotel which, for me, is important. I am usually travelling the next day and a good rest is needed. The breakfast is good. The location is convenient to get back on the road and lots of restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed many times here.

The Soo is a border town and as such has the expected...
The Soo is a border town and as such has the expected industry/businesses that come with that. With that said, it has a nice downtown, plenty of sights to see, and is a great place to base out of if you want to explore the NE corner of UP.

Friend and I visited Sault in mid August.
Friend and I visited Sault in mid August. Just to get away for couple days for some nature and shopping. We stayed at Glenview Cottages on Trans Canada Highway, 10 minutes north of the city. We shopped for groceries at Wal Mart, Staples for some ball point pens. A friend stopped by at an outdoor adventure store for a tent cover. I'm sorry, for not remembering the name of the store. Besides cooking our own meals, I've had a craving for soft tacos at Taco Bell; Macdonald's for a muffin and a coffee. All the shopping and eating we've done on Great Northern Road. Our purpose was to discover local hiking trails. So, don't forget to hike decently maintained trails at Glenview Cottages and Camping.

The main attraction in Sault Ste.
The main attraction in Sault Ste. Marie is the Soo Locks, which are very interesting. You can take a boat tour and lock through. There are also some really good museums such as the Museum Ship Valley Camp. We spent two days there and it was just right.

Lots of green space in the Sault to bike and hike (many well groomed trails through beautiful forested lands). I'd also recommend a ride on the Miss Marie (tour boat goes through the locks). The area around the Sault was also beautiful, we took a road trip to Searchmont; the maples were in their glory - changing colours amidst rocky ridges and rivers and lakes.
