The hotel was much nicer than we'd expected. Since it was near Christmas, they had great Christmas decorations. The Denny's downstairs was much nicer than the Denny's in the US. All staff was friendly in the hotel and restaurant. The hotel is by the freeway, but it was very quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay. The room and bed were both big, and the bathroom was nice. Everything, the lobby, rooms and outside, were all clean.

Some amazing restaurants - even in unexpected locations.

Some amazing restaurants - even in unexpected locations. All the amenities you need nearby. Easy access to some beautiful hiking (30-60 min. away). Also some nice places for walking right in town. So much nicer flying into this small airport vs. Vancouver.

Tiny town, Langley is close by if you want to do some...

Tiny town, Langley is close by if you want to do some serious shopping. Our main purpose was simply to get away from the explosions and chaos of July 4th. I suppose a 'noteworthy' thing about the town is they are home to the Vancouver Zoo. Why it's called 'Greater Vancouver Zoo,' I have no idea. My gut reaction is 'Greater than what?' I think it's wine country as well. Not really into that, so who knows?

Mission 25 years ago was a quaint rural city. Away from the noise, traffic, and hustle of the close by, larger cities. Nowadays Mission is a breath of fresh air on a hot day rather like a cool. Breaze that refreshes ones self after a stiffening hot commute from where ever.you may have been.And if by chance you are lucky enough to find Masqua Park before heading across the bridge to center Mission.you will be transported to a slow. Relaxing mellow time to undwind the day in the shade of the srately trees , close to the waters edge.Mission is a vibrant town, the shops are quaint, restaurants are,well to put it lightly fantastic, staffed by knowable service people and they are happy to take the extra time to make your visit pleasurable. And the food well, all good in that department too, I tried a Thai place and it was exquisite, the servers were pleasent,curtious, and adorable and treated everyone as if they were visiting friends from out of town. I perdonaly have been trying to think up ways that I could return to Mission right away instead of having to wait till next the Holliday .If you are trying to think of a quiet ,safe, pleasant Holliday, think no more about.it there is so much more to see and enjoy than I will be able to suggest Just go there see for yourself John Young

I wanted accommodation close to Abbotsford Airport as well as close to family in Langley. Also having a pool was definitely a must. Aldergrove is a very pleasant place to spend time in. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good.

Lynden is an old fashion community surrounded by dairy...

Lynden is an old fashion community surrounded by dairy farmland not far from the Canadian border with great views of the Cascades. The whole town is very clean and neat with the historic downtown area a pleasure to see & visit. There are some excellent eateries scattered about. EdAleen's dairy has the best ice cream I've tasted West of the Mississippi.

Abbotsford is a nice town and a great place to base yourself to explore the historic area. We would highly recommend the quaint town of Langley, and the historic fur trading fort near the banks of the Fraser River.

The hotel was well kept, however I had called the front desk...

The hotel was well kept, however I had called the front desk to tell them my mom was in an operation and I would come talk to them as soon as I got back to clear anything up. We returned, Ed watched me struggle to get upstairs with my mom who just got out of surgery, to find out the keys were deactivated. I had to leave her sitting at the front door of our room because I couldn't take her back downstairs. No empathy, no apology. I work in customer service and could never imagine treating my customers like that.
