Perfect location right by the airport.
It was incredibly convenient to arrive and then head out just a few minutes before check-in for my flight. I enjoyed a high-quality room that was comfortable and well designed.
The wet and dry saunas, along with the gym, provided real relaxation and a sense of calm.
A great stay overall, and I would happily return.

I loved everything about this hotel. The staff were fantastic and all spoke English which was great since I don't speak German. The restaurant and bar staff were particularly exceptional and went out of their way to entertain my 4 year old daughter - thank you so much! The complimentary hotel shuttle was the best part - used it throughout our stay to pick and drop from the airport so we could catch the direct train into the city center. The swimming pool is small but really cute and clean - was a bit cold though. We didn't get to see everything we wanted during our short so we'll be returning to Hamburg and will definitely stay at the same hotel.

Known in Germany as ‘Flughafen Hamburg’, Hamburg Airport sees over 16 million travellers pass through its gates every year. It is located 5 miles (8.5 kilometres) from the city centre in the Fuhlsbüttel quarter of Hamburg. Passengers can easily travel to/from Hamburg’s Hauptbahnhof (central railway station) on the S1 S-Bahn (Metro), with trains departing every 10 minutes. Another option is to take the U1 U-Bahn (underground rail) to Ohlsdorf, a junction station for U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines. From there, the S1 operates directly to Hamburg Airport.

Staying in the boheme area of Sternschanze one get a less polished view of Hamburg. It's a very nice neighbourhood with a lot of cute small shops. Even though Hamburg is a big city, the different parts of the city makes it seem smaller and the U/S-bahn is really easy to take anywhere.

We have stayed here before and it is a great option for the Hamburg Airport. We stayed here two nights and caught the S-Bahn from the airport into the city for our day’s sightseeing. The hotel itself offers exactly what it says on its website and the rooms are clean and staff very friendly and helpful. A bus to the airport is just around the corner or, as we have done, very easy to walk.
