The rooms are small, parking is easy, staff will get you a taxi or whatever you need. There are planes overhead so it's not for a long term stay.

An excellent hotel - as an aviation enthusiast the hotel theme was ideal! Very helpful aned knowledgeable staff, a very comfortable night's sleep, room was excellent and kept very cool on a very hot night. I will stay again if I visit Hamburg in future.

Known in Germany as ‘Flughafen Hamburg’, Hamburg Airport sees over 16 million travellers pass through its gates every year. It is located 5 miles (8.5 kilometres) from the city centre in the Fuhlsbüttel quarter of Hamburg. Passengers can easily travel to/from Hamburg’s Hauptbahnhof (central railway station) on the S1 S-Bahn (Metro), with trains departing every 10 minutes. Another option is to take the U1 U-Bahn (underground rail) to Ohlsdorf, a junction station for U-Bahn and S-Bahn lines. From there, the S1 operates directly to Hamburg Airport.

We thoroughly enjoyed Hamburg; it is a very interesting city, especially its architecture, both older and modern.
The hotel is just in the Kontorhaus District; beautifully purpose-designed office buildings from the 1920s. A Harbour trip is well worthwhile; go for the 2-hour one, because the Harbour area is huge!
Hafen City is also well worth exploring; plenty of impressive new buildings, with the amazing Elbe Philharmonie concert hall on the periphery.

We have stayed here before and it is a great option for the Hamburg Airport. We stayed here two nights and caught the S-Bahn from the airport into the city for our day’s sightseeing. The hotel itself offers exactly what it says on its website and the rooms are clean and staff very friendly and helpful. A bus to the airport is just around the corner or, as we have done, very easy to walk.
