Had excellent time at GetAwayZone in old town playing their escape game, enjoyed old town a lot Thats the best place in Tallinn, must visit for sure In Rukis we had super coffee brake, unique atmosphete and delicious treats
Wonderful experience greatly helped by the constant snow, perfect for the surroundings and lovely people. Hotel and staff made the hole experience magical. The town it's self is a lovely place with many many things to see and do and is highly recommended for an extended break. day trip to Finland also easily carried out as well.
Tallinn is a place where u could find anything from second-hand and retro lifestyle shops to coffee locals or modern arts in Kumu. Tallis kivi near to trainstation on Balti jaam is the newest and biggest city architecture project Which got opened with the new station Market but Talliskivi city part itself is loaded with very different and price variable cuisines. Tallinn is just so cool because there is seen old and abandoned architectural households and new buildings from newAge. And Also...there Are so many shopping centres. And If u Are planning to stsy with a partner on family and use Facebook then find Facebook group "Fotograafid 2" and ask For a photographer If u Are interested of new pictures from your stay. The photohraphing service is not too expensive and there Are many frewlance photohraphers. I would suggest to see Eesti Rahvusraamatukogu, Kaarli kirik, Eesti Vabadussammas at Vabaduse väljak and Kumu (Also Toompea ehete lays Estonian parlament and where Are sight platforms with best views to Estonian Capitalsi Tallinn). Also a buildings where Estonian revolution tool place st Kadriorg named Laululava and Maybe For resting Vapiano restaurant at Hobujaama. At seaport Are Linnahall and Lennusadam where is a good view to the Gulf of Finland and side to ships and sea animals) In summer it IS a great idea to vist Pirita and rent a boat or kitesurf or just play volleyball or swim and sumbathe. There is plenty to do. Raskest is to take Citytour Sightseeing bus to hop on hop off from different Sightseeing Places. Enjoy!
Even in a winter day right after big snow, walking in the old town is very enjoyable. Many high ground viewing points, old walls, winding streets, colorful buildings, and historical heritage sites left by various settlers will make visit cherished and memorable
Tallinn is a great city to visit. They did a great job of maintaining the the old medieval look in the old city. The food was very good but minimal and a little expensive for what you get. The city is not that big so you can walk everywhere. There are informative free walking tours everyday.
If you pick the right place to stay, away from the crowds, you can get the best out of Tallin. Away from the hordes you can experience sleepy town historic walks and some very bohemian type cafes serving excellent cuisine - including vegan and vegetarian. In the centre, where most of the historic buildings are, you can still walk along fairly empty streets if you get up early enough. The drawback is that very little will be open but it's a good way to get your bearings and some tourist free photos. Otherwise it still has a good vibe during the peak periods with some excellent free walking tour guides.
