Playa d'en Bossa is the most loud and exciting area of Ibiza, with that being said, it is definitely not recommended for everyone. We spend about ten days there, and it was a wonderful ten days. Next time I visit Ibiza, I would like to stay on the opposite side of the island where it is quieter, but that is just my preference. There are beach and pool parties all down the strip. It is the easiest location to find taxis. Every corner there is a stand for concert venue tickets. While you are sleeping, you will hear the parties all morning and all night. I recommend ear plugs. The food around here is okay - I like authentic Spanish cuisine and these restaurants were catered to the English.
An older crowd is present in Playa d'en Bossa, age 25 plus. Some nice bars lots of places to get a balance of 'mad ibiza' and 'quieter ibiza' for the 'fragile' days. Cabs are always around but Space, Ushuaia, Hard Rock Hotel all within walking distance to most hotels. Jet apartments and Bora Bora is good for a pool/beach party. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Ibiza.
Loved it before and loved it again! Clubs are unreal and the atmosphere is so friendly. Everyone's there to have a good time. There are some lovely restaurants and a gorgeous beach. Well worth a visit or seven! I will be back! x
Its a party location, focused on youngsters in their 20s (drunk, high, too energetic for my taste). The best clubs are there (Ushuaia, Space, Sankeys...), but i would say - no charm (of Ibiza) can be felt in Playa den Bossa. Its dedicated to kids, parties, going outs, you can buy cheaper alcohol and beach clothes than in other ibiza destinations. Limited parking space in the centre/and near the beach. Beach is party themed... music, party promoters, etc but you can not feel the beauty of typical Balearic beach (cristal blue)... you would need to go somewhere else for this (Cala Compte, Formentera, Cala Saladita...)
I've been to Ibiza 3 times and Playa d'en Bossa is the best location for someone who wants to party but not be around the really young crowd. It is also close to some of the best clubs/hotels and airport. Also very easy to get around the island or to the port to take a ferry to another island.
Beautiful during the day. Great spot for clubbing. Spanish food is the best in Europe. The beaches are gorgeous. It's expensive to taxi around to remote areas. Do NOT stay at the horrible 'Hotel Mare Nostrum'.
